This charming house on Milton Road boasts a rich history dating back to the early twentieth century. Originally constructed to accommodate the nearby police officers, these homes stand out with their generously spacious interiors, surpassing the neighbouring residences in size and grandeur.
You'll find a homely lounge area with a TV and Freesat receiver inside. With four LED lights controlled by dimmer switches, you have complete control over the lighting ambience, allowing you to create the perfect atmosphere.
The middle room can quickly transform into a bedroom, accommodating two guests with a convenient sofa bed. Alternatively, it is an ideal spot for reading or indulging in your favourite music. Next to it is a well-appointed bathroom with a shower and a towel warmer radiator.
The kitchen in this house is a true highlight, boasting a range of modern amenities. It features a large wooden table and two extension leaves to accommodate up to eight people comfortably. While you prepare delicious meals, you can enjoy the pleasant sounds of the DAB digital radio.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, including a master bedroom with a work desk and a monitor setup. The middle bedroom is known for its warmth, and it has a fold-out bed that can be set up either here or in the rear bedroom. The back bedroom has a smart TV and a laptop-friendly desk. The floor also has a bathroom equipped with a bathtub, shower, sink, WC, plenty of storage shelves, and a towel warmer radiator.
At the rear of the house, you'll discover a delightful back garden. Enclosed by walls and fences, this private sanctuary offers a sense of seclusion. The yard is paved with flagstones, and various bushes and greenery contribute to its pleasing aesthetic. During spring, you can enjoy freshly picked strawberries from the pots, while in autumn, the blackberry bush provides delicious ingredients for an excellent crumble.

This location offers an enticing blend of convenience and leisure. Situated just a stone's throw away, a lovely park awaits on the adjacent street, with a playground for strolls and family fun. The property is also close to the Manchester United football stadium and the Lancashire County cricket club. Within a few minutes walk across Chester Road, you'll discover the convenience of a small Co-op, perfect for your everyday needs. Moreover, the immediate surroundings abound with an array of convenience stores, takeaways, and even a charming pub, The Gorse Hill, right across the street. Whether you seek a quick snack, a leisurely meal, or a pleasant evening out, the local amenities cater to your every desire.
The property is easily accessible by public transport and car.
The nearest bus stop, Chester Road/Taylor's Road in Gorse Hill, is a short walk away and serves buses 255, 256, and 263.
The Old Trafford tram stop on the Altrincham Line is also within a 10-15 minute walk down Talbot Road.
Manchester Airport is a 14-minute drive from the property.
Street parking is in front of the house, but you MUST have a parking permit for football match days. A sign at the end of the road will specify when parking restrictions next apply. If you have a car on match day, you must pay for parking on one of the many parking sites nearby - look for people on the street with a sign for Match Parking. The nearest option is on Talbot Road in the row of businesses there.
Alternatively, transport connections are excellent, so leave the car behind and enjoy the brilliant local connections by bus and tram.
Bins are only run every two weeks, and the bin is on the small side, so please be mindful of how much waste is being thrown away.
Wi-fi is available in every room, and there are ethernet ports in the lounge, master bedroom, and rear bedroom for a wired connection.
Please note that late check-in after 22:00 has a surcharge of GBP 30, and after midnight is GBP 50. All requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property.
Also, we charge £50 for each set of lost keys (security keys may cost more). There may be an additional cost to replace the locks for security purposes. So, please keep your keys safe :)
There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a GBP 300 smoking fee at a minimum.
We do not allow parties, large gatherings, loud noises, or outside guests. Should we receive sufficient evidence of such activity, we reserve the right to cancel your stay (without a refund) and may involve a security team to evict you. Any associated cost will be charged to you via your security deposit. Local authorities may also be present (if required).
