"Really enjoyed our stay. The property is walking distance to all sites and Salem amenities. The property manager company certainly went “all in” with the decor! They were also generous with foods available (coffee, etc) in the apartment.We suggest stopping at a proper grocery store prior to arrival however, because there is a bit of a food desert around the house (more convenience shopping than groceries)Thank you for making us feel welcome"

"You walk down the back steps and you’re on the sand, what more could you ask for? Well, this place offers more. It was clean, comfortable and had pretty much all your need when away from home – and it had grill, which gets extra points in my book. Plus, you’re just a few minutes’ walk from the arcades, shops and food. As advertised, the parking is tight, but we didn’t have an issue at all. Sean quickly responded to my questions. I’d definitely stay here again!"

"We loved our stay at the Duval House. The place is tastefully appointed and we especially appreciated that the mattresses are very comfy. This is usually not always the case, our 50old bodies appreciated it. The only ever-so-slight pain was that we could hear someone tromping upstairs for some of the time but that minor thing didn't hinder our stay one bit. We'd definitely stay here again when we visit Gloucester next. "

Property Manager was very helpful upon check-in.Note that parking is problematic. Limit of 2 hr free street parking M thru F from 8 am to 6 pm for visitors. A good location to stay if you don't have a car."

"My husband and i loved the ocean front views and sounds and walk on the beach in the morning The location was great close to salem and marblehead a beautiful little town . The place was clean and we loved the eclectic antique style and furnishings that were super comfortable also love the big wood burning fireplace..our Host was top notch immediate response and care for whatever you needed made for a great experience. Also briefly met the owner such a really nice person . We will stay again "

When we entered the rental unit there was a lot of sand throughout, and the trash barrels were full and had not been taken to the curb (they had food items left in them so there were some maggots in the barrels, unfortunately).
