Cozy Pet-Friendly Cabin with Wood-Burning Fireplace, Close to Canyon Lodge

This pet-friendly, 1 bedroom + loft, 1 bathroom condo is a great value sleeping up to 8 people. It is centrally located close to the lakes in Mammoth. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, just like home. The living area features a flat screen TV with DVD player and premium HBO channels, wood-burning fireplace, and free WiFi.

The master bedroom has a queen bed with en-suite vanity and shared hall bathroom. The loft features a perfect space for singles or kids with 4 twin beds. The living room also has a sleeper sofa for extra guests. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more.

This condo sleeps a maximum of 8 people, comes with two outdoor parking spaces, has 2 levels inside, and no smoking is permitted. Guests will be provided two parking passes. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. This condo is pet-friendly and approved for one pet only, any additional pets must first be approved prior to booking the condo. Our calendar is updated in real time. The condo is perfect for cost effective stay. The condo is clean, comfortable and worked for us overall. My recommendation for anyone renting this condo in the future is to bring your own skillet, cutting board and any other cooking utensils or supplies. I do cook and having only one skillet made it a challenge, however I made due with what we had available. But, I do recommend others take this into consideration and come prepared. Overall, our stay was great and our teenagers enjoyed the jacuzzi and club house. No major complaints.

Great condo and management!

The communication and timely responses by Mammoth mountain reservations was outstanding. We mistakenly got locked out and someone came to let us in within 5-10 minutes.The unit was perfect for our family. Clean, updated and close to the mountain.

Good value for the money. Family of 5 plus golden retriever were comfy. Was able to cook a Thanksgiving dinner thanks to a great kitchen. Place comes across dated at first but once you settle you realize it’s perfect. Good views, ton of firewood and wood burning stove. Turn key

Missing amenities / inconvenient check in-out

The place is older, but it’s cozy and has personality. Great location. I would give it a higher review had the following occurrences not happened: - Sauna and jacuzzi were not open (the entire recreational area has been closed since late March due to a structural issue, and I only found this out in person, upon arriving, thanks to a sign on the door of the closed facility). No one informed me of this at any point prior to booking, so I almost felt tricked. Had I known that these amenities were not working for over 1 month, I would not have stayed here. - the whole check-in / check-out system is inconvenient. You must retrieve keys at an office (about 7-8min drive from the place) before checking in and return keys to the same office at check out. Check out is at 10am, so if you’re planning on hitting the slopes in the morning, make sure you set aside some time to drop off the keys before check out at 10am. I wanted to stay at this place so I could be very close to canyon lodge (to get up in the am and hit the slopes), but my plan was derailed by the fact that I had to take 20 min from my am to drop off the keys.

Not A 2-Bedroom Property

The property can in fact sleep six, but there is only 1 bedroom and 1 loft. The loft contains 4 single beds and none are next to (side by side) each other. The fridge leeks on the inside. There was a note on the front of fridge to not change temperature, or it would leak, and we didnt but it still leaked. Good Location though.

All was good with a few issues Lots of stains in the carpet. Master bedroom Bed was the most uncomfortable bed ever. Needs a new pillow top etc Other than that all was great !!!!

Great location but some issues

Many lights in this house were not working or had dead light bulbs. The dishwasher did not work properly. I didn’t receive a reply to my message in VRBO messenger ever regarding a parking question. Those are very fixable things though. The place is good for a quick trip and close to the mountain. Lots of firewood available - if you’re just looking for a place to crash at and are planning on eating out with a group of friends then this place fits the bill. The place is as described and pictured in the photographs.

Great property management but very dirty place

The place is unclean. Carpet is very dirty and pet hair all over the couch. Dishwasher was not working but property management is friendly and very quick to respond in getting a repair man to come out even though he couldn't repair it at that moment.

Boys trip out

If you’re just a bunch of dudes looking for a place to crash, this is it. The four beds in the loft are military style/right next to each other. Typical bunking setup. The bedroom has a queen bed. The “mud room?” Is actually really helpful for getting your gear on and from snow getting tracked all over the place. The kitchen has dishes and such, but we just elected to bring plasticware. The place stays really dark with the shades pulled, but open them up and it’s bright and you don’t have to worry about anyone staring in because there is just a hill in the back with a great view of the mountain. This place is centrally located and is less than a mile to Eagle and Canyon Lodges, and to the Village, so it should a great location. Just note that part of checkout is to turn the temperature down to 55 before you leave, so if you get there in the middle of the night it can be cold. I brought extra blankets which was helpful while the heater warmed the place up.

Kitchen and bathroom

We rent in Mammoth often and cook meals instead of ordering in. The kitchen lacked utensil for cooking such as a spatula, serving spoons, chopping knives, etc. There were not many knives, forks, or spoons. Also, I think that the toilet leaked because the rug on the bathroom floor was wet before we used it and continued to be soaked our entire stay.

Weekend stay

Upon arrival we were happy to have gotten a place close to Canyon lodge that was dog friendly. There was plenty of wood for the stove to keep the place toasty and provide a good atmosphere. Unfortunately that was all that was good about this place. The dishwasher still had dirty dishes in it, the lights under the kitchen counter didn’t work, one of the lamps in the living room was broken, there were staples sticking out of the carpet in between the kitchen and dining room, it seems to have had yellow stains (could be pee) by the bathroom sink, the shower doors had to be jiggled in order to slide, there was no sponge to clean dishes and in the bedroom there was a small stain (looked like a red fluid) on the sheets. When finding these issues, it lead us to believe the cleaning fees paid by the renters weren’t being used. It’s expected that it’s throughly cleaned between visitors especially with Covid around. If these issues can be corrected and the place can be cleaned more thoroughly I would recommend it based on location and size.
