This 2 level recently remodeled quiet home is elegantly decorated with a cozy feeling and wooden floors, perfect for every family! Secured WiFi in the unit.

Maximum Occupancy: 10

Bed Arrangements: King size bed in the master, a queen in the second bedroom, 2 bunks in the loft area (double on bottom, twin on top), and euro bunk bed (queen on bottom, XL twin on top) in the enclosed den.

Unit Amenities: It's home away from home with a fully equipped kitchen with slate floors, a 36 inch Sony flat screen television and a wood burning fireplace. It also includes TVs, VCRs and DVD players throughout the living room, an enclosed den, loft and bedrooms. WIRELESS connection, compliments of the owners. Neptune washer and dryer in unit as well!

It's walking distance to Canyon Lodge, a covered garage for parking, nearby the new Village and 3 shuttle stops in front of the property!

The premises has 6 spas, 1 sauna and 1 swimming pool. Perfect for all seasons.

Maximum 2 vehicles. One assigned underground parking space (7’ Clearance). Second space is first come first serve.

We had a wonderful stay at Mountainback condos. We had a group of 11 ( half under 18) so it was nice to have the bunk beds and 3 FULL baths! It was nicely decorated snd comfortable. Plenty of Dish ware/ utensils/ dining table space to do family dinners. We utilized the grill down by the pool and used the hot tubs nightly. It did get hot in the evenings with no AC, especially in the loft. There are 2 fans that helped but still pretty warm. The unit is on the top floor so there are a good amount of stairs to climb. The house is nicely located off the main bike trail so we were able to bike down to our unit. Overall it was a nice stay and would recommend.

Oldfield Family Trip

This.was a wonderful unit to base campOur adventures in Mammoth. We have been coming up to this area for over 45 years and have done everything from tent camping to rving to staying in condos. This was one of the best condos we have stayed at.

Fishing Expedition

My brothers and I have a traditional yearly fishing trip to Mammoth Lakes and surrounding areas. It’s a guys trip, and our sons, nephews, son in laws and cousins attend the “Guys only trip”. This is the first year I booked a condo through VRBO. I am vary happy I did. I have used other rental sources in the past, and they have been satisfactory at best. I am very happy I made the switch. The customer service, the online services, and the apartment itself was friendly, fast, easy and clean. I will definitely call for one or more of their properties again.

Spring Break 2023

We had a great ski trip March 2023 ( spring break). The property was perfect! The kids stayed upstairs in the loft and even had their own bathroom. All adults had their own bedroom. The condo had plenty of seating and kitchen supplies. The view was beautiful, we could see the snow falling while sitting in the living room. We would definitely stay here again!

A Great Holiday!

We so enjoyed our stay at Mountainback #79. We had so much space for our 2 families and felt so comfortable and relaxed. With the easy parking and the (sometimes) easy walk to and from Canyon Lodge, we are so excited to return. Thank you!

Close to Canyon lodge, underground parking garage, on the top floor. Nice 3 bedrooms with 3 bath and additional loft. Enjoyed our stay!

When we arrived to the property it was boiling hot and there was no fans, air conditioning, or anything portable to help the air circulate. Granted at night time the wind help the temperature drop but there wasn't enough circulation in the property we stayed in. We had kids with us as it was a family trip and none of slept at all the first night. We actually had to go buy a portable AC and spend close to $400 on it because the heat was unbearable. This is something that should be disclosed prior to booking considering in the summer it can be very hott during the day and even at night it is not that cool. There should be fans at the very least offered in each room to help with the heat in the summer. This was not a good experience at all.

Wedding week

My family came from Colombia for my wedding and they loved the place. It was spacious and enough beds for all the guest. It was clean and the staff were kind and responded quickly to our call when we found something broken. The check in and check out process was easy and convenient.

Cozy Yet Roomy

Overall the place was great. We really enjoyed the wood burning stove and there were plenty of towels. The “comforters” on the bed are barely thicker than a sheet. We brought blankets with us however we were all toasty without them. The room by the balcony (with wood) never warms up. Our teens like to sleep with it cold so they weren’t bothered by it, but it was drastically colder in that room. There were either one or zero trash bags, paper towels, laundry soap, dish soap, dish sponges. The wall heaters (with little red lights) did not work at all. The WIFI is terrible at best. We had quirks but no deal breakers. Loved the dining room table for cards and games!

Great Location & Plenty of Space

Unit was big and had nice amenities. Beds were comfortable and there was enough seating for everyone at dinnertime. Found some items from the last renters in between the couch cushions and next to the bed. All in all a wonderful unit, just could use some better cleaning and a decent Wifi router.

Plenty of room.

We had a room for 3 girls , 4 Boys and 2 more rooms for 2 couples. Nice big kitchen and table . Had a great stay. Lots of stair climbing. If you bring bikes, bring a strong cable/lock to leave them secure in the basement parking overnight. Only complaint is the only window on the second floor is about 9’ High and has a sign then says “please don’t open”, so that room gets hot. Have to leave all the other windows in the house open all day so it cools a little.

Great place and very clean. Very roomy. Bathrooms were all updated. Very spacious for a condo. Just down teh street from the Cyn Lodge although it didn't matter on this trip since summer. One complaint it the windows. It was a very hot wkend and many wondows would not open. The one bby the loft def need to be fixed and open as it was very hot in the loft with all heat rising. The windows in the 3rd room with bunk bed did not open either. Since most homes do not have air cond in mammoth, gotta make sure the window are all working and able to open. This was our only complaint.

The place is very nice and spacious , I like that you park inside a garage, it’s not too far from canyon lodge . The only few things I would say is that it needs new games, it was dusty in some areas and some of the heaters were not working.

Good for group without kids

Hi, usually I don’t write reviews. But this time I’m writing because there was an incident happened. One of our friends daughter 7 year old burned her elbow area while taking her boots. There is a heater at entrance of the hallway where we take our boots. We noticed that and warned all kids not to stand nearby. But unfortunately she got burned her elbow while taking her boots. Personally I think that placement of heater is not right. Not sure if it is even as per code. I need to check that. It happened on Christmas Eve. Thought of complaining on the next morning but your office is closed. We took care of first aid and moved on to our activities. I do have pictures if you like to see. Other than that everything else is ok. Thanks

Nice place

This condo is comfortable once you climb up the deadly stairs. The stairs are no joke esp when you first get there and have to unload all your stuff. And in 87 degree weather it gets stuffy but that’s usual as we have been coming to mammoth in the summers for years now. Some fans would be great. Some things are outdated like the bedding and some wear and tear on the furniture. We lost WiFi and cable completely for quite a few hours one of the days. The WiFi is actually not too great overall but we did have 9 people at some times. Many complaints about ice cold showers also. The bathrooms are very nicely updated and the kitchen has about everything you could use for cooking. My daughter was distraught upon finding many hairs on her bedding in the bunk bed room, we don’t have dark hair so it was there from before and some stains on that bedding also. The street is actually quiet and peaceful. The trolley was utilized for a start to a trip to Devils Postpile. It picks up right in front of property. The jacuzzis were not working upon arrival but then the kids did find one that was heated but very crowded as I feel they only heat the main one. They have grills on the property and my family used those twice and it worked fine. We were split on the decor the guys loved it the females not so much. Very comfy couches unlike other units we’ve rented and that can really make or break the trip as the evenings spent together hanging out are so pleasant. Overall I would recommend it here but only if you don’t have a problem climbing up many stairs. Oh a highlight was that we saw a bear right outside the property! Very exciting! We had a nice trip thank you for sharing this condo.
