    Welcome to your Mammoth Lakes home base at Chamonix #076. This 2-bedroom, 2-bath condominium sleeps up to 6 and sits an easy walk from Canyon Lodge and close to The Village, trails, and year-round fun.



    The Space:

    Settle into a comfortable, family-friendly condo with everything you need after a day on the mountain. The living room features a cozy gas fireplace, flat-screen TV with DVD player, and WiFi, with ceiling fans in the living area and both bedrooms to keep air moving year-round. A private balcony with a gas BBQ (summer use) is great for casual meals.

    Cook at home in the full kitchen, equipped with a drip and Keurig coffee maker, toaster, kettle, wine ware, and essentials for basic meals. Dine together at the table or grab a quick bite at the breakfast bar.



    You’ll have a large walk-in gear locker down the hall for skis, boards, boots, or even bikes and golf clubs. Chamonix’s remodeled clubhouse adds more ways to unwind with hot tubs and a sauna, a seasonal pool and BBQ area, a fire pit, and a game room. Coin-operated laundry is available in the clubhouse.



    Please note: this condo is on the second floor and requires one flight of stairs to access. The second bedroom is upstairs inside the unit.

    Layout (Sleeping Arrangements & Bathrooms)

    • Bedroom 1 (main level): California King Sleep Number bed, flat-screen TV/DVD, ensuite bathroom; sleeps 2

    • Bedroom 2 (upper level): Queen Sleep Number bed + Twin bunk bed, flat-screen TV, ensuite bathroom; sleeps up to 4

    • Bathroom 1: Ensuite to Bedroom 1 (main level)

    • Bathroom 2: Ensuite to Bedroom 2 (upper level)





    Important Things to Note

    • Stairs: This is a second-floor condo; one flight of stairs is required to access. There are interior stairs to the upper bedroom.

    • Parking: Unassigned parking for up to 2 vehicles in the communal lot. Parking passes are required and will be located inside the unit. Additional parking is not guaranteed beyond what’s described.

    • WiFi: Service is provided; however, due to Mammoth Lakes’ remote mountain location, speed and reliability can vary and are not guaranteed.

    • Community amenities: Chamonix amenities include hot tubs and a sauna; a seasonal pool and BBQs (summer only); a fire pit; and a remodeled clubhouse game room with pool table, ping pong, foosball, and retro arcade. Coin-operated laundry is located in the clubhouse. Amenity availability and hours may vary and are not guaranteed.

    • Hot tub access: Time slots and sign-up may be required; capacity limits can apply. Facilities may be temporarily closed for cleaning. The upper spa is closed until further notice.

    • Balcony BBQ: Available for summer use only.

    • Gear storage: A large walk-in ski/gear locker is located down the hall for guest use.

    • Pet policy: This home is not pet friendly. If evidence of a pet is found, additional cleaning may be required.

    • Check in is at 4:00 PM and checkout is at 10:00 AM. We cannot guarantee or approve early check in or late checkout requests in advance.

    • We recommend considering travel insurance, just in case any unexpected changes come up. We do stick to our cancellation policy and want to make sure you're covered!

    • We provide bedding, towels and a small starter set of essentials to help get you settled. Feel free to message us for details on what’s included.

    • Salt, pepper, and cooking oil are not provided unless otherwise noted.



    Getting Around:

    Walkability & access: Canyon Lodge is a short walk away. Shops, restaurants, and hiking trails are within walking distance, a free shuttle ride, or a short drive. Canyon Lodge operations are seasonal—please check Mammoth Mountain for current status.

I have stayed at Chamonix in probably 10 different condos over the years and I prefer this one over most of the others. The updated furniture and aesthetics are nice. Only complaint is the bed in the master is a little soft for my taste. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cookware. Showers are in nice shape. Wish it had a wood burning fireplace but the gas one is nice, produces a lot of heat and looks good too.

The condo had all the supplies we needed. It was clean and we felt safe. The bed was comfortable i had a good night sleep. The downside was during checkin had a hard time making door code work. Also would appreciate to indicate the condo on the second floor without elevator. Hard for a senior like me. Overall it was a nice stay. By the way i would also have liked if i could directly talk to the host instead of just exchanging text messages.

If you ski, it’s a great location up at the top of the hill. Otherwise, decent location for hiking and being outdoors. Our apt at Chamonix, seemed a bit dated. Best part was the well equipped kitchen.

Boys trip mammoth

The property was great, had everything we needed but the location is unmatched. We could literally walk to the lifts by canyon lodge and on top of that walk to and from the apres. This is my go to spot at mammoth.

Good location. Convenient unit. Dated, but that was expected. One negative was the check in process for two reasons: 1) E-mailed access codes did not work. 2) I asked about being able to check in at 3:30 pm instead of 4 pm. Got a long e-mail saying how they will try and do their best. We showed up at 3:45. Nobody was cleaning the unit. Access codes did not work. Called the office. Were told "no, not possible, nothing we can do". "ok, fine", came back at 4:30. Access codes still did not work. After multiple calls they WERE able to open the unit remotely, i.e. they lied the first time. Then they texted us the working codes. What was the point of jerking us around?.

Great Location

This property is just as advertised. Well equipped kitchen, easy access to the jacuzzi area, walking distance to canyon lodge. The bunk beds are very uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on but would probably be fine for small children. All in all a great trip!

Superb location!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is unbeatable. Walkable to Canyon Lodge - 5 min or less to parking lot of Canyon Lodge. The condo has the basics. To clarify this is a one bedroom on the main floor with an open upstairs loft. The building walls are thin so we heard the teenage girl next door till past midnight. The loft is a little dark so bring a book light for night time reading! Outside parking was convenient. Overall this place was great! Thank you!

Possibily the best condo I've stayed at since I started using vrbo or any other rental sites.

Everything was more than I had expected, especially the functional kitchen and all the accessories. Only one issue that I came accoss, which is the electrical outlet to the left of the stove was not working. I would like to book this unit in the future directly if possible.

Nice accommodations. There was a faint persistent unpleasant but tolerable odor possibly associated with snow damage to units below. It is understandable as the area is recovering from a federal emergency due to excessive snowfall related damages. Hot tubs were available at will. Kitchen was well equipped. Overall we were pleased with the accommodations.

During high ski season this would be fabulous.

Great roomy condo. Perfect for small family. The loft is like a small separate apartment. They closed the Canyons lifts during the week so we had to go to the Mill. On the weekends you can have a nice walk to the lifts. To families who need an elevator, this is on the second floor and there are no elevators. Other than that this was clean, with everything one would need..
