"4 family members had a wonderful weekend. Splendid convenient position in quiet settlement, well equipped kitchen. Glad weather was brilliant so easy to use outside deck as living/ eating area. Useful to have additional toilet( in laundry outside) for guests in the sleepout. little dog happy & safe in fenced area. Clean & comforyable with huge choice pf specialty teas!"

"A super clean, tidy, and comfortable place to stay in laid back Kawhia, The ever changing view over the harbour as the tide rolled in and out was very relaxing and even though the fishing trip was cancelled due to the big swell we had some quality time to chill out. "The Big Deck is exactly the place for some RNR perfect spot amazing views bach has all you need dated but perfect for that kiwi bach experience by the beach ⛱️ was clean and tidy plenty of space so just perfect for us host was lovely great to communicate with everything went smooth even with a last min request to take the fur babies 😊 thanks so much Hine nd John we had such a nice break away the bach was awesome we did not want to leave just pecfect 👍😊👌"

"Property is fine. I did have to ask for details on how to get in on the day we were due to arrive but we received them in plenty of time before we checked in. The road noise is loud. I'd go prepared with earplugs if you're not used to being that close to traffic normally! Not something the owner can change but something to note when traveling with kids or elderly like I was."

"The bach is located in a very quiet street with a beautiful view of the mountain. The kids loved climbing in the Pōhutukawa tree and using the swings. The bach could do with a deep clean and fixing the shower but the owners have made a decent effort to put in new carpets, nice decor, good furniture and new appliances. Kawhia itself is a beautiful little town and we loved going down to Hot water beach."
