"We needed an overnight bed and breakfast option after attending a wedding at nearby Farnham Castle. Dawyk Beech fitted the bill perfectly and was less expensive than an overnight at the castle. Our en suite room was a very generous size overlooking the lovely garden with a comfortable king bed. We needed to check in before the official time of 4.30 to get changed for the wedding and wouldn't be back at the guesthouse until after midnight. "It was exactly what I needed for a long layover. Convenient. Staff was friendly. I actually didn’t mind the airplane noise (they’ve added a sort of second layer window I think? It helped block the sound). Most of the local restaurants had stopped serving food by the time I had arrived, but there was an Indian place 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. Only downside was the fridge in the room wasn’t cold. For the price, will definitely stay there again. "

"Had a very comfortable stay in the hideaway. The steep steps up to the bedroom were not as tricky as I had anticipated. Was a very hot weekend, temperatures 30 degrees but fans provided and did a good job maintaining a comfortable temperature. Just stayed one night, would have found the low sloping ceiling in the bedroom frustrating if staying for a long time. A very well equipped place."
