"Excellent , perfect add on to my Charleston french quarter trip. Beware the bad reviews are old, for a minute I was in doubt and after was very happy I made it. The hotel was renovated recently.
Staff was extremely friendly starting from Holly at front desk and Lucas and Lucy at lodge and helping around.
I was recovering from a broken foot and they made their best to acomodate my needs.
The room is charming and comfortable and the grounds beautiful.
Middleton place is a short walk away and...

"Staff was rude. I checked in and the guy at the desk didn’t say 2 words to me… except, “ID?” & “put your card in to pay the deposit” I had to ask all the questions that should’ve been told me, such as how much the deposit was and what it was for … later that day, I witnessed another staff member yell at a handicapped elderly women…. It was rather disturbing as she was being very polite.. all the staff seems to hate their job… I checked out the same night and just drove 2 hours back home… beds...
