Come and stay at this beautiful 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home located right on Jonathan Creek in the heart of Maggie Valley. Enjoy the large covered back patio overlooking the creek, which can offer fishing, or just a peaceful rest on our hammock next to the river. Near the river is also a fire pit where you can have your roasted smores at the picnic area by the fire pit. The patio also provides a table for outdoor dinners and get- togethers, with plenty of seating for all. The front porch and front bedrooms offer magnificent views of the surrounding mountains of the Blue Ridge. Inside you can relax by the fireplace and watch Cable TV or play your own CDā€™s and DVDā€™s. The inside features a full sized kitchen with a dining room, laundry, a king sized bed on the first floor, a king sized bed on the second floor, 2 twin beds in the loft bedroom, and a queen sized fold out sofa.

We were very pleased with this property! It was clean. The property manager was easy to contact! The back yard is gorgeous and we loved the stream with the ducks in the back! Every now and then kids would tube by after a good rain and the stream was flowing faster! The neighbors had chickens that would come out to visit! I would definitely go back!

More than we expected!

Long review alert! No words to describe how much we loved and needed this little place in our life this year! We will be back! Back story, I have been a caretaker for my father for the last 3.5 years. He had dementia and thatā€™s a difficult road to be on! As a family we have not been able to go anywhere together on vacation or even to dinner really because someone always had to be home with him. That can be very costly and hard to find people to stay overnight, Our daughters are 18 and 22 and they have had to help in ways many their age shouldnā€™t have had to. Anyway, he passed in June of 2021, 3 weeks after finding out he had cancer. Fast forward to October of 2021, I had the idea to go on a trip instead of doing Christmas presents this year. And my family agreed!!. Problem was, everything within our budget had been booked, And I couldnā€™t find anywhere to stayā€¦.. then little place popped up the second week of December and I booked it! Upon arrival, I was absolutely in LOVE! The back yard isnā€™t even describable! I am into nature and Mother Earth! Itā€™s Peace and serenity ! The back yard reminded me of a fairy garden! Everyday, I would walk out there and put my feet onto the moss and soak it all in! The river! The ducks! The rocks! The Firepit! All AMAZING! Have a cup of coffee or tea and just relax! As we were driving in, the town next to this place is called Clyde. My fathers name is Clyde. So it was a gentle reminder that he was there with us and I thought to myself what a sweet sign from him! Then on the last night there, my daughter noticed a little magnet sign on the fridge that says ā€œSpending time is a greater gift than spending moneyā€ And in that moment, I knew that this little find was all a part of Gods Plan! šŸ™šŸ»We checked in on Christmas Day! We stayed in through New Yearā€™s Eve which happens to be my daughters birthday! It was just an amazing family vacation that we needed and the perfect end to 2021 as we havenā€™t been on a family vacation in 5 years! There are no coincidences in life! Everything leads us to the next chapter of our lives! I believe this trip has started a new tradition for our family! Going away for Christmas instead of buying things. Life is about making memories! After all, those memories are what last a lifetime! I hope this review inspires others to go make memories with their loved ones. šŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œ Thank you to the owners for sharing this little piece of heaven on earth with anyone willing to go!

The home was nice and cleaned. ONLY thing of the whole stay & policy is trash. Having to place trash in your car to take to dump behind the property manager office building. Found that a little odd and didn't like it at all. Basically that the only reason I wont be staying at that location again. Overall everything else was awesome, loved the whole house, kids loved to have their own room.

The house was nice and cozy. Being right in the river was a plus. We enjoyed our stay!

Overall experience was good! The only thing we couldnā€™t find all the remotes for the TVā€™s so we shared remote with living room and bedroom.

Wonderful

We had the most amazing time at river rock. Everything was as we expected. Melissa was always quick to answer emails about check in/check out. Location on the creek was wonderful. We enjoyed the fire place inside and the fire pit outside. I would recommend this property to anyone. We would definitely like to come back in the summer to play in the river. The snow was beautiful. Nice quiet atmosphere. 5 stars!!! The only downside was having to leave to go home.

Hard to overlook the bed.

On almost every front, this was the perfect place to stay, but there was one negative thing that was hard to overlook. The good: -The location was amazing. Right on the river, the semi-secluded backyard with a firepit and rushing water was amazing. -The house had all the kitchen necessities to accommodate a big group cooking during thanksgiving week. Plenty of pots/pans/utensils, etc. -It was cozy, with a large porch out back that was perfect for relaxing The bad: - The mattress on the king bed upstairs was horrendous. The left side of the mattress seemed to have every mattress spring in it missing, so that if you slept on the left side of the bed, you were sleeping at probably a 30 degree angle, which led to waking up with terrible knots in your back. My wife and I both tried to sleep on that side the first couple nights, and then gave up. This was a pretty big disappointment, as it led to someone sleeping on the couch multiple nights of our stay. The owner tried to cover it up by putting a thick memory foam pad on the top of the bed, but this only made matters worse. If the owner could invest in a new mattress for the upstairs king bed, this stay would receive a 100/100 and we would be sure to come back, but with the current mattress, we would have a tough time paying to come back again.

Great get away spot

We enjoyed the creekside and fireplace daily while we were there. Everything was very clean.
