Heart of the Valley is located on Soco Road and is within walking distance to Maggie Valley Carpet Golf, Stompin Ground, Wheels Through Time Museum, Maggie Valley Festival Grounds, Maggie Valley Puzzle Rooms (Escape Rooms), and gift and antique shops.

There is ample parking for multiple cars and trucks with trailers on the property and has easy year round access for motorcycles, slingshots and spyders.

The home is also within 10 minutes of downtown Waynesville and is conviently located to hiking, fishing, rafting, skiing, horseback riding and golf. Asheville is 35 minutes east and offers The Biltomoe Estate, shopping, the arts and great restaurants. You may also plan a day trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge.

christmas getaway

eveything went pretty well except for running out of hot water but there were 13 of us so we waited in between showers i had to fix the oven door and the microwave door needs repair other than that we had a great time,the location was perfect i would return in the future

Layout of house

The layout of the house made it challenging. Constantly having to go through someones room to go outside rhrough someines room as well as to get to the hot tub. The matteesses on the bunkbeds were wirn out and horribke to skeep on. The fire pit needs to be replaced, It was not ckeaned out. . Bunk beds were nit able to ve used, Ended up using aur mattresses. . out.

Cozy cabin

Overall a cozy cabin. Right on the main street, mini golf right next door, fun little spot. The cabin could use some updating and TVs in the bedrooms would have been nice also more outdoor seating. We all did have a good time.

Great cabin

The cabin was in a great location with everything nearby. It was clean and spacious. Our group usually stays in different motels around the area but the cabin provided a place we could all stay under the same roof which gave us the chance for more and better socializing. We will definitely consider staying there again.

Yearly family get together.

Over all we were very happy with our stay. The location was very convenient to everything being it was it was in the center of Maggie Valley. Having five bedrooms was a definite plus for everyone and parking was easy. Things that need improvement are - pots and pans in kitchen have definitely seen their day, lighting up stairs over the pool table is very poor and lastly the front bedroom (1st floor could use a new mattress, when you lie down you roll towards the middle. Overall everyone was very happy with the accommodations and would absolutely use this property again.

Destination Wedding

Great location, easy access to scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, many other locations as well as access to the wedding Venue in Asheville. Walking distance from shopping & restaurants, small town coziness, weather was perfect for all things outdoors. Will definitely stay again.

Great Place to be together at home

The best thing about this property was the ease of doing fun things together at the house. We watched the World Cup final on the TV, played billiards, and enjoyed the hot tub. It was a great stay.

Cute Family Cabin

We booked this property back in September for a December stay. The day before our trip we noticed a recent review saying the property had bed bugs. We called the property manager and they confirmed while there was a case, they had taken all the necessary steps to remedy the situation. I can confirm they did just that, no bed bugs in sight! We had a great stay at the cabin for the weekend. It was perfect to accommodate three different families and all of our kids.

Great Place to Stay while traveling on Motorcycles

Great place centrally located

Was a spectacular place to stay, cabin was clean, accommodations were perfect, management was spectacular, can’t say enough. Loved the hot tub and the two kitchens were perfect since we travel in a group! Will surely be booking again for next year!!

Comfortable But Not Great

I've stayed in enough VRBOs to tell which property owners go the extra mile because they're thinking about you and which ones provide the minimum in order to maximize profits because they're thinking about themselves; I'd say that Carolina Vacations fits the latter description more than the former. When you arrive at your VRBO after a day of driving you want to just be able to kick your shoes off and relax and not have to worry about going out again for any "essentials." Good thing we brought our own toilet paper, because Carolina Vacations didn't provide any. There were other small things missing that one would expect, especially in the kitchen. Fortunately we were not at the VRBO very much, so, the little disappointments did not have much of an overall impact on our time in South Carolina. My biggest complaint is that this property can sleep at least 10 adults, but there was no dishwasher. When you're on vacation you don't want to be standing at a sink doing dishes if it can be helped. The other thing was that no one could bother to put up a towel bar or hook outside the shower in the downstairs bathroom. Like I said, you can tell ...

Family Getaway

We loved the location, beds were comfortable, the house was clean and plenty of room for our family. The only issue I had with the house was the cookware! The baking sheets were rusty, pans were burnt/poorly cleaned both in the downstairs and upstairs kitchen, I couldn’t use them. There were plenty of cups/mugs, but the plastic dishes were damaged (knife gouging)from previous use, making them unsanitary to use.

Affordable cabin for a crowd

Cabin is clean, two areas to hang out and has extra kitchen upstairs by pool /ping pong table which is conducive to entertaining a group and access to back deck from living area upstairs. Seating for 10 to eat downstairs, bar upstairs, plus outside deck out back. Bring extra chairs. Kitchen was stocked adequately. Very affordable- thus bring your own toilet paper, paper towels and toiletries. Other cabins were 3x as much in Gatlinburg area. 2 1/2 bath can be crowded with crowd. We were expecting 9 people, 4 dropped out due to possible CoVid exposure so cabin was ample room. It is located within 15 ft of Soco Rd so you hear traffic all day with windows down. The RV park 10 ft behind the backyard was empty when we stayed New Year's so we didn't have noise from that. We appreciated the price for 4 bedrooms. I would stay with company again, but not this cabin. It was within 3 miles of restaurants, things to do, sidewalk, but I prefer to have more privacy. Hot tub seats 5 comfortably. Bring your hair dryer and we unscrewed some of lights in living room they were harsh 3 bulb white light fixtures . Plenty of seating to feed a crowd. You have to walk thru both bedrooms downstairs to access back deck and hot tub. Not a big deal if you go with people you know well.
