"The property did not met the standard of Hampton. The bathroom had mold in the tile, there were no cups to get a drink of water and there was a musty smell. The front desk check in was excellent and the breakfast was superb. "

I think that, given a little amount of effort and focus on concierge level service, this property could become a real resort type experience. Get a little creative and watch the rooms fill up. We were so impressed and will be back!"

"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"
