#209 Kings, River View, Deck, Bicentennial Park

General’s Quarters (209) is situated steps from the Ohio River. This renovated 3-level historic (circa 1830) home is a perfect (and spacious) gathering place for families and friends.

We're located near all the festival action (Bicentennial Park) and easy walking distance to Main Street and bars and restaurants. Clifty State Park is a quick drive to the west side of town.

GQ includes 4 bedrooms (2-King Suites, 2-Queen) and Queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

Two king bedrooms are located on the top floor with the washer and dryer and each has its own full bathrooms. The two Queen bedrooms are on the bottom floor with walkout access to the backyard and additional parking (ideal for anyone that doesn't do stairs). These bedrooms share a full bath. All bedrooms include a 43" flatscreen TV.

The living/dining/kitchen areas are located on the middle floor and include all the comforts of home - a 75" TV, access to the back deck, workspace with a standing desk, charging station, Bluetooth speaker, and games for hours of entertainment. The deck is ideal for watching the river and enjoying the fresh air. A full-length glass door to the deck provides river views year-round.

Furnished with a mixture of antiques and modern furniture you’ll find General’s Quarters to be a great home away from home. Enjoy a great family gathering with plenty of room to make memories to last a lifetime

You'll have access to the entire house.

We are available for any questions you have before, during and after your stay.

General's Quarters is located right by Bicentennial Park (Center of town) between the river and Main Street. You'll be able to walk out your door to Main Street and all the festival action.

You will need your car to get groceries up on the hill (8 min drive) - Kroger and Wal-Mart or to get to Clifty Falls State Park.

Downtown Madison is a great walking town or if you prefer you can rent a golf cart. Getting around is easy. There is also plenty of parking at General's Quarters - street and in the back (2 reserved spots).

Convertible Get Away
The house was perfect for 4 couples staying for 3 days! Everything was well stocked and perfect for meeting in the middle floors for games and meals! Close to downtown eateries and the river!! The house was beautifully done! We would definitely come back!! Thank you for a great stay!!

Great Location with River Views
This was a great location close to the Ohio River and Downtown Madison. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching the boats and barges in the evening, and the rest of the house was just as comfortable.

We loved staying at General's Quarters! The house had everything we could have needed and more. We loved the historical narrative provided about the house and seeing original details. From the time we entered the house, we knew it was going to be a memorable weekend...It was within walking distance to the Riverfront park..Madison In Bloom Check-in..Main street restaurants and shops...It was perfect for our group of 10 ladies to prep a fun dinner and breakfast before we went on the Madison in Bloom Garden tours...Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our group...I would highly recommend any group of women who have an occasion to celebrate in style...Thank You Kelly! P.S. There was some very interesting history that went along with this home...

Wonderful place to stay, clean, great location, well furnished and equipped. I am from Madison and my friends love to go up from Louisville for a weekend. This is a wonderfully renovated building in a great location. Kelly was very helpful with details, recommendations and other information. The property was very clean and had a wonderful home-like feeling. It was perfect for a reunion of my wife’s siblings. I highly recommend it.

Beautifully appointed! Great supply of dishes, pots/pans, linens, personal items, EVERYTHING! Heating system in the basement was wonky; couldn't get it out of Hard Lock. Good lighting throughout. Just what we needed!!!!

Fabulous Family Getaway
We had such a wonderful time in Madison! We absolutely loved our stay at the General's Quarters and did not want to leave this beautiful place!! Everything about this Townhome was simply amazing and over the top!! The decor is so beautiful, bedrooms and living areas were so spacious and well laid out. Our host was so easy to communicate with and was so nice to let us have early check in and late check out. She had everything there that you would ever need and more. We loved that she had a Keurig machine and also supplied a large variety of K cups, tea, creamer and sugar. She also leaves a few snacks on the counter for your arrival. The patio area, with a view of the river, was so beautiful and peaceful. This townhome was simply stunning and we can't wait to come back!
