Beautifully clean and presented, 20 min walk into Calheta beach. Fantastic staff. Breakfast is freshly prepared daily and is delicious. They also have a restaurant for evening meals, and the food is good, but nothing mind blowing, we expected a bit more as it was offered as a ‘tasting menu’, but that’s the only downside. We stayed for 5 days in the Groto room and it was huge and well appointed. Would return! I was ill on the last day and we asked to check out as late as possible so I could recover, they did their best to help and we checked out 3 hours after time, thank you!

L’établissement est vraiment splendide, le personnel très attentionné, les extérieurs et les équipements sont excellent! Le dîner proposé le soir est bien travaillé, simple mais réalisé à la perfection, avec un serveur au top! Un soir nous avons voulu nous faire à manger nous même, le personnel nous a amené le matériel nécessaire ainsi qu’un panier de plantes aromatiques issu de leur propre jardin. En résumé, ce séjour vos le standing d’un 5 étoiles que nous avons fait sur madère également.

beliggenheten er unik 4 gänge menü überteuert für das was man bekommt, es wird bei der Getränkeauswahl fast nur auf den wein fokusiert -selbstverständlich hatte der Kellner excellente Weinkenntnisse, aber nicht alle trinken Wein! hier wäre eine Getränkekarte sehr hilfreich gewesen. Parkplätze an der Unterkunft zu knapp bemessen und am Hang - nicht für Fahranfänger geeignet, sondern nur für Fortgeschrittene am besten mit einer CE 1 Fahrerlaubnis. Rezeptionistin und der Empfang wirklich nicht mehr an Service und Freundlichkeit zu überbieten Findet man in dieser Form auch sehr selten.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view is amazing, we could see the ocean from the bed. We didn't book a room with a private 'outside', which I did miss a little but luckily they have created some nice spots to sit down and relax. The staff is very friendly and the food is very tasty. We had dinner there once and we really enjoyed it. We also liked the house cats. To get to the accommodation you have to go up a steep hill. The turn that you must make next is quite sharp. They have two parking spaces, so you can choose based on the direction you came from. Not a lot of traffic there luckily.

Pros: location, really calm, the views from the room over the vinewayrds and the sea. The pool and the amazing restaurant at a very decent price. Cons: no space to hang wet stuff when coming back from the pool or a hike, nothing dries out in the bathroom. The breakfast starts at 8am which is wayyyy too late when you want to hike and it's not buffet which makes it waste a lot of things and is not quick. The staff also should be able to make restaurants recommendations outside of tbe hotel.

We just had a really lovely stay at Socalco! The room was beautiful, the staff very helpful and friendly, and the food amazing. It’s up a steep hill, get ready to climb everywhere in Madeira! But that comes with wonderful views over the sea. Definitely have dinner in the restaurant a few times, and enjoy having breakfast presented on your table each morning.

Sehr schön, ideenreich und geschmackvoll an den Hang gebaut. Weinstöcke und Gemüseanbau für das Hotelrestaurant zwischen den Häusern. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter! Phantastische Aussicht aufs Meer und die Bucht! Viel Privatsphäre an unserem Häuschen (Nr 8 Terrantez). Sehr gutes Frühstück und Essen im Restaurant. Man kann zu Fuß zum Badestrand und zum Hafen mit vielen Restaurants hinunterlaufen, für alles andere braucht man ein Auto. Unser Häuschen ist das am höchsten gelegenen, über hundert Stufen bis zum Frühstück! Für uns kein Problem, man sollte es aber bei der Entscheidung für eine Buchung wissen. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen und Socalco Nature auch weiterempfehlen!
