"We had peaceful getaway at the Hix Lake and Cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a well-equipped, generously stocked kitchen. Its location on the private lake is serene with no other houses in sight. The real show-stopper was the outdoor areas. We enjoyed morning coffee on the wrap around porch looking out at the lake and listening to the birdsong. The hot tub was a relaxing way to unwind. Fishing at the private lake was a lot of fun. I caught the biggest bass that I'm ever hooked. We...

"Great spot and you can rent a boat nearby from Margaritaville Marina. Host very communicative and quick response. Kitchen had way more than I expected. Blender, coffee maker, plenty of pans and casserole dishes. It was a great size and lots of room. Dock was amazing or relaxing with plenty of wrought iron chairs and a table. Great for swimming and fishing. Newly redone it appeared. If you are coming with someone with difficulty getting around on stairs, I would recommend getting the house above...

"The cabin was amazing! It was perfect for us and the kids. It was very clean and the location was great. We were close to Bennett Springs and had everything we needed to cook our catch in the evening. The pond was beautiful. We floated with Steele River Kayaks right down the road. They were amazing as well. The ONLY complaint was the WiFi was very poor. I work remotely and wasn’t able to do any work at all. We were only able to watch about 5 minutes of tv at a time before the service would...

"We couldn't have asked for a better place for our group! The home is even better than the photos: spacious, spotless, and incredibly well equipped. There was truly something for everyone, from the game room and theater to the pool, hot tub, and private dock. "We really enjoyed our stay last weekend. Celebrated my dad’s birthday and Father’s Day. The house was well stocked and had everything and then some. There are 5,000 coffee filters in the cabinets so definitely not necessary to bring your own. We spent the majority of our time hanging out on the deck overlooking the lake. The view is amazing. The driveway is steep but manageable, but follow the advice of backing down. Made getting out so much easier! We had a truck, suv, and a Tesla and all did...

"We had a very nice time. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and modern. The view of the lake was nice especially at night with the lights reflecting off the water. We enjoyed the deck and the fire pit. The property is in need of maintenance. After rain, there was water soaking into the carpet in the bedrooms. At least one of the steps down from the parking lot was collapsing, in need of repair and not very safe. The advertised paddle boat was too full of water to...

"The house was great and had just about everything we needed for our stay. We had 11 people on the trip and the house was big enough that it never felt too crowded. The dock setup was amazing, and having all of the dock accessories (lily pads, kayaks, nice chairs, etc) was our favorite part about the house.Everything was perfectly cleaned with the exception of the grill. There was a lot of grease built up in the grill and unfortunately it turned into a small grease fire, so we weren’t able to...
