O Justus Buchler House é o local perfeito, quer você esteja em lua-de-mel, viajando com alguns amigos ou uma festa de dez! A folhagem de outono no norte de Vermont é lendária. Se você quer esquiar, andar de bicicleta de montanha, andar de trenó ou simplesmente andar de quadriciclo, esta é a sua área.
    Deseja fazer essas coisas em larga escala? Máquinas de neve podem entrar na famosa trilha VAST, mesmo nos limites da minha propriedade. Kingdom Trail é um desafio para os ciclistas de montanha, e você entra na trilha a poucos quilômetros da minha casa em East Burke. Os esquiadores vão gostar do Burke Mountain Ski Resort, a apenas 13 km, e do Jay Peak, também muito perto. Você também pode caçar em minha propriedade na temporada e licenças temporárias podem ser obtidas em Lyndonville, a apenas 8 km de distância.
    Você pode fazer qualquer tipo de pesca, incluindo pesca no gelo nos lagos Willoughby e Memphermagog. Ao longo dos anos, meu vizinho me deu um salmão enorme desses lagos. Outra idéia é entrar no meu bosque mais baixo e experimentar o Fall Brook, um riacho muito bom que produz grandes trutas nativas!
    Esta antiga fazenda, com 200 anos este ano, está na minha família há 75 anos. Meus pais compraram em 1943 no primeiro ano de casamento e pagaram dez dólares por acre, mais 500,00 pelo barraco. Existe uma documentação fotográfica em um álbum sobre como eles a transformaram em sua casa de verão ao longo dos anos.
    Se você gosta de propriedades históricas antigas, você vai adorar esta. O aspecto engraçado, fora do quadrado, nunca deixa de trazer sorrisos. O tipo de casa te abraça com história. No andar de baixo tem dois quartos, duas camas queen size e um com TV. No andar de cima, existem 4 quartos: dois que acomodam uma única pessoa, um com duas camas e outro com uma cama de casal. A cozinha está totalmente equipada com novos aparelhos e muita louça. Uma mesa na sala acomoda 6 pessoas e você pode colocar 4 na mesa da cozinha. Assento 6, se o tempo permitir, na mesa de piquenique. Há uma nova combinação de lavadora / secadora na lavanderia.
    Muitos animais em minha propriedade. Alces, ursos, veados e raposas são vistos com freqüência, e você pode apostar em ver marmotas, porcos-espinho e guaxinins também.
    E, finalmente, os Vermonters são os melhores. Acolhedor e descontraído, a maioria está acostumada a viver com dificuldade em um clima difícil. Você terá umas férias maravilhosas.

Mountain biking weekend

Spectacular place to stay close to Kingdom Trails. Place was spotless, had absolutely everything we needed, and Kate couldn’t have been more responsive or accommodating. Highly recommend

Beautiful location and House

We enjoyed our stay at Kate’s house. If the house owner is good then everything is good. Kate we would love to come back again.

Wonderful time in Lyndonville!

We absolutely loved our stay in Lyndonville, VT! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The view from all of the windows was stunning!! I highly recommend this home. *Also recommend having the pork belly BLT at the Bagel Depot in Lyndonville. Delicious!!

Family weekend

We planned a weekend trip to the Great Vermont corn maze. The location was very close to the maze. We spent lots of time outside playing yard games. The views are amazing, the yard is beautiful, and the house is large enough for a big family. We very much enjoyed our weekend at the Justus Buchler house! Kate was very responsive to all my questions.

Can say enough good things about The Justus Buchler House

I stayed at this house with 6 of my family members, we were in the area for a wedding. Kate was extremely responsive, very helpful and generous. The house was clean and comfortable, fully stocked with everything you might need. The property is huge and gorgeous, there is a lot to explore around the house. There is tons of space to run around in which was especially fun for my daughter. The house is historic and is very charming. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to my friends.

Perfect house to enjoy nature and the mountains

We were 10 people from Quebec who were going to Vermont for mountain biking and we really enjoyed our stay. It was only a 15 minutes car ride so we were close to the kingdom trails. The house is enormous and there is everything you need for cooking, shower, sleep, etc. The field at the back of the house is really big so we played football and soccer. We did a bbq and enjoyed a good meal at the beautiful sunset at the back of the house. The owner of the house was also really nice and she answered really fast to my questions and email. We will rent it again next year for sure!

Wonderful Experience in the Countryside

Really enjoyed the feeling of this classic 203 year old home, located in a beautiful setting in the country! We definitely plan to stay again. Very memorable vacation home, with lots of space, and authentic decoration.

Excellent stay, Beautiful location

This home, surrounded by over 170 acres of farmland, sits near the top of a hill overlooking the mountains in the distance. The farmhouse is neat and tidy, filled with comfortable furniture and more than enough room for our family of six adults. Kate, the owner, was very kind and helpful when i called about the property asking if there was a gas grill available, and wood for the fire pit. She gave detailed information and was wonderfully welcoming! The property was easy to find. The farmhouse was situated on a stunning hillside, surrounded by farmland. Last evening, we walked around the farm field behind the house, enjoyed a fantastic meal of steaks on the grill and finished the lovely evening around the roaring fire in the fire pit. This morning the six of us sat around the round dining table in the living room eating blueberry pancakes, with a view of the mountains out the window. Treasured moments with my family, the fall leaves brilliant in the sunny blue sky, surrounded by beauty everywhere you look. Thank you for sharing your home with us, Kate!

Lovely slice of history

We had a great weekend here, mostly focused on riding the Kingdom Trails and swimming at Crystal Lake. The house was a great place to come back to after a day of adventure. The kids loved exploring the bedrooms and all the various pieces of furniture and possessions dating back 50, 100, 150 years. The backyard was also lovely, and we enjoyed running around back there. The kitchen certainly works for preparing meals, but it’s not very updated, so we kept the cooking light. Perfect if you’re interested in staying in a cozy, historical piece of VT’s history.

Fourth of July

This property was the perfect spot for a group of friends to spend a long weekend together for the Fourth. Kate was very responsive to my questions and everything was as advertised. The rooms were comfortable, the yard was expansive, and the fire pit was the perfect accessory. Would certainly come back.

Excellent stay!

It was a great stay! This house has so much character and space for everyone. Check in and out was very clear and easy. The owner is very mindful of guests’ needs and wants and has provided all the comforts of home.

Beautiful, sprawling home filled with character

Our stay at the Justus Buchler house was incredibly relaxing! Located down a dirt road, with plenty of privacy and a huge yard in a country setting. There is even a farm stand on the corner when you turn off the main road towards the house. The bedrooms are all huge and spread out for lots of privacy if traveling with other couples/kids/co-workers. The kitchen is fully equipped with every dish and appliance you could possibly need. There are plenty of linens in the bathrooms and extra sheets and blankets in the bedrooms. There is a warm, homey feel to the property that brings you back to a simpler time. I would definitely recommend staying here, and look forward to returning again myself! Thank you so much, Kate, for being such an incredible host!
