The cottage is in the perfect location if you want to wind down and relax in beautiful surroundings but there is also the whole of Connemara to explore, with all of its many attractions and activities being within an hour's drive.

The property is maintained and equipped to a very high standard to provide luxury holiday accommodation.

The spacious but cosy triple-aspect lounge has panoramic views of Kilkieran Bay, and the mountains that surround it, out of every window. There is a feature fireplace made from local stone with a wood- (and local peat-) burning stove. There is also underfloor heating. For entertainment there is a 49" Smart satellite television (includes the main UK channels), a DVD/CD player and free Wifi. There is a good selection of books, DVDs, games and jigsaw puzzles - for all ages.

There are three bedrooms, two of which have en-suite bathrooms with showers and there is also a family bathroom which has a jacuzzi bath with shower over.

The cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen with a double oven/grill and separate induction hob, microwave and a dishwasher. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in a separate utility room. There is a separate dining room with a walk-through from the kitchen. The dining room table seats up to 8 people.

Outside there is a large area of decking with a garden table and 8 seats from which there are uninterrupted views over Kilkieran Bay and the Maam Turk mountain range. The very large lawn is ideal for playing ball games (balls provided).

Although the cottage is in a get-away-from-it-all location, Connemara's many attractions and activities are in easy reach, all within an hour by car. Here are just a few:

The property is as good or better than the photos in the listing. Well maintained and nicely decorated and equipped. The location is just beautiful! A top-notch place to spend time and to use as a base in exploring Connemara. Mike was very helpful and provided loads of great information about the area.

Das Ferienhaus hat eine phantastische Aussicht, die man von allen Räumen aus genießen kann. Das Grundstück ist herrlich gelegen und den Kaffee auf der Terrasse haben wir jeden Morgen aufgrund der Aussicht wieder genossen. Der Vermieter war sehr um uns bemüjt.

Ein sehr schönes Haus, perfekt ausgestattet, gelegen in einer herrlichen Landschaft. Die Visitenvorschläge von Mike sind sehr kostbar. Es gibt viel zu sehen und man kann tolle Wanderungen machen. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses Haus nur empfzhlen.

Fantastic cottage in Rosmuc. It’s about 5 km off the main road in a little hamlet with stunning views on all sides - sea and hills. The house is immaculately clean, with plenty of space for a family of 5, with 3 grown-up children. The kitchen has everything you will need. The living room has views on three sides, so no matter the weather you can be immersed in the landscape. The solid fuel stove keeps the space toasty warm. On good days the garden has seats to sit outside. Just be aware that you’re advised not to drink the water from the taps, so bring bottled water. Enjoy!!

Dieses wunderschöne, große und Top ausgestattete Haus können wir nur weiterempfehlen. Super sauber und Top gepflegt fehlt es an nichts. Mike kümmert sich bestens um alles. Tolle Landschaft. La maison est juste magnifique, de grande qualité. Tout est prévu, il ne manque rien et en plus un service client au top. Nous sommes arrivés dans un logement chauffé, rangé joliment décoré et très propre. Mike se met à disposition et est très réactif. L'emplacement du cottage est ideal au sein du parc national du Connemara, dépaysement assuré.

If you are looking for a quiet stay surrounded by nature with an exceptional view in a comfortable cottage, this place is ideal. We had an excellent family stay. A big thank you to Mike, the owner, for his support to make our trip exceptional. Beautifully clean, cosy and welcoming. Furniture and fittings are of the best quality and very well cared for. Very good communication from Mike, the owner, who goes the extra mile to make sure you really enjoy your stay and have everything you need. The views from every window are stunning and the location very peaceful. We look forward to returning.

Ein wunderschönes Haus in traumhafter, wenn auch abgelegener Lage. Man merkt, dass man sich hier Gedanken gemacht hat über das Wohl der Gäste. Die gesamte Einrichtung ist neu, und nicht, wie leider so oft, die abgelegte Einrichtung der Besitzer. Es sind bequeme und ausreichend breite Betten mit guten Matratzen vorhanden, das Wohnzimmer ist groß und verfügt auch über einen Sofaplatz für jeden Gast. Für den Ofen sind ausreichend Holz und Torf vorhanden, sodass sich auch verregnete Tage ertragen lassen. Küche: Alles funktioniert, Geschirr und Besteck sind in guter Qualität und ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden, sodass die Nutzung der Spülmaschine auch Sinn ergibt. Schnelles W-LAN, Spiele, Puzzles, und, und, und. Das ganze Haus war bei unserer Ankunft perfekt sauber. - Hier stimmt einfach alles und ist sein Geld wert. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

From the very first contact with Mike he was incredibly helpful ranging from giving us advice on the ferry and directions through to supermarkets and places to visit. He genuinely cared that we had a good time, and we absolutely did! The cottage is beyond words! Exactly as described, but no words can adequately convey the views, the scenery and the comfort of the cottage. Yes, it is remote but that is the point. Still plenty of opportunity to visit tourist attractions and shop for supplies, but the peace and quiet can't fail to relax you from the moment you arrive. We stayed at the end of March so the log / peat fire was delightfully cosy. Beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return at some point.

This is my third time at Mike's Cottage and I'm always impressed. i love the cottage and enjoy the landscape and the peace and quiet. the cottage is furnished to a high standard and nothing is missing. Mike the owner is a very friendly host who is always available to help and advise his guests. If you are looking for a loveley cottage, peace and freedom for the soul, this is the place for you.

Das Haus "Seacht" in Garafin/Rosmuc liegt wunderbar auf einem kleinen Hügel. Von dort - und aus allen Zimmern - hat man eine 360°-Sicht auf die umliegenden Buchten, Inseln und die leicht bergige Landschaft. Wir hatten fast nur Sonnenschein, trotzdem waren Licht und Farbenspiel so abwechslungsreich, dass man sich nicht satt sehen konnte. Das Haus ist mit einem sehr gemütlich eingerichteten Wohnzimmer und drei Schlafzimmern mit jeweils eigenem Badezimmer hervorragend ausgestattet. Abends flackerte der Kamin und verbreitete wohlige Wärme. Auch in der Küche fehlte es an nichts, so dass auch das Kochen Spaß machte. Zum Planen von Ausflügen hat Mike eine schöne Mappe angelegt und jede Menge Kartenmaterial bereit gestellt. Auch der Kontakt war jederzeit sehr freundlich und fürsorglich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Vielen Dank, Mike!
