Luxurious 5-Bed Escape in Heart of Bourbon Trail

Nestled in the heart of the Bourbon Trail, The Commonwealth is a spacious home that feels luxurious, yet still welcoming. When you enter the front doors, you will be greeted by a grand double staircase and plentiful gathering space. Each of the five bedrooms has its own dedicated full bathroom, making this perfect for a large group or couples' getaway. Situated near Louisville and Bardstown, you have quick access to over 20 distilleries, as well as quaint downtown areas and Taylorsville Lake. The Commonwealth is a sophisticated retreat designed for those seeking both luxury and comfort. This expansive residence welcomes you with its elegant design and thoughtful layout, ensuring ample space to unwind and reconnect with loved ones. Four of the five exquisitely appointed bedrooms features its own en-suite bathroom (the 5th bedroom has its own bathroom accessed through the hall), providing ultimate privacy and convenience for every guest. With a grand double staircase that sets the tone upon entry, the home boasts generous gathering spaces perfect for socializing or simply relaxing after a day of exploration. Guests are invited to enjoy the entire house, including the vast living areas, gourmet kitchen, the basement and serene outdoor spaces. The fully equipped kitchen allows for delightful meal preparations, while the dining areas accommodate both intimate dinners and festive gatherings. Additionally, a laundry room is available for any necessary upkeep during your stay. Some guests enjoy strolling through the back field to enjoy the wild life - lots of deer and turkey! Hosts are readily available for any inquiries or assistance, ensuring a seamless experience during your visit. We encourage guests to reach out with any special requests or needs to enhance your stay. Respect for the property and neighborhood is appreciated, particularly during evening hours. We are on 85 acres in a very rural area. Cell service and Internet is sometimes spotty! Guests will need their own transportation, as it is a rural area and most close places are at least a 15-minute drive. Long-term tenants live on property at the guest house within sight distance of the main home, which is listed here. They do not interact with guests unless guests initiate, but are extremely friendly!

Had a wonderful trip with family. House is huge with enough rooms and bathrooms for everyone to spread out. Enjoyed the beautiful kitchen with plenty of room for cooking together. Will definitely recommend and hopefully stay again in the future.

Clean and great for cooking

The house provided a comfortable space for everyone in our group (seniors, adults and children). Every nook and cranny was spick and span. The property was one of the cleanest we have stayed at in the past few years. The large kitchen was extremely well stocked. We enjoyed preparing large family meals every night and there was plenty of room to prepare and enjoy the meals together. The outdoor deck was beautiful under the starry sky, and the furniture was clean and comfortable. The indoor fireplace and living room was cozy and a great place to gather. We enjoyed the shops and restaurants in Bardstown. The location was central to many distilleries and activities.

Bourbon Trail

We had a great stay at this beautiful property. A little snafu with the toilet seats given that one of the members uses a walker and the wider bathrooms couldn’t be used on the first floor for the walker user. Otherwise we enjoyed the back deck, fire pit, and several seating arrangements. Thank you so much!

Beautiful home along the Bourbon Trail

We had a wonderful stay at Alexandra's property located in Bloomfield, KY. Half of our group attended the PGA Championship while a few of us explored Bardstown to experience a bourbon tasting and a little shopping and lunch. It was a wonderful experience and Alexandra was so helpful when we had questions. We would stay here again in a heartbeat just to watch the surrounding wildlife and relax in a beautiful home.

Spacious home with rural views

Stunning Bourbon Trail Property

We had the pleasure of staying at this home while in town for the Bardstown Kentucky Bourbon Festival. It was perfectly peaceful and relaxing after very busy days. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of amenities and we were able to easily prepare meals daily. There was more than enough room for all 8 of us the be in our own space at the end of the day. The backyard view was gorgeous. We had nightly visits from about 6 deer. Our host, Ali, was fabulous to work with. I highly recommend this home to anyone considering staying here.

Bourbon Trail With Friends

We stayed at this property as a group of 10 friends (four couples and two singles) for three days to explore the Bourbon Trail. The house is stunningly beautiful and in the perfect location for Bourbon Trail touring. The five large bedrooms, each with it's own bath, was the primary drawing feature for us initially. We found that our favorite part of the property was the back deck which looks out over a lush green field surrounded by wooded areas. Deer and turkey were daily visitors in the early morning and at sunset. The propane fire pit on the deck was our gathering place to visit and relax. We spent hours out on the deck enjoying the country peace-and-quiet and our friends. There is absolutely no downside to this property. Ali and her family were wonderful hosts and responded immediately to a few requests we made following our arrival. Five stars all the way!

Perfect house for a family stay

We loved the house! It was a perfect spot to spend time with kids and grandkids. The pool table, bags and outdoor space kept everyone entertained. The kitchen was perfect to cook in and had space to feed everyone. Having 5 bedrooms and baths so everyone had plenty of room made it even better. Ali was quick to respond to any questions we had. We visited both Lexington and Louisville driving an hour through the hills of Kentucky was beautiful.

Amazing home and host!

Ten friends on a bourbon tour...weather knocked out the power our first evening/night at the house but Alexandra was incredible in helping our group work through it. We ended up having the absolute best time - even in the dark - and would definitely recommend this amazing home and host. Thank you!

Beautiful large home

Beautiful large home outside of Bloomfield KY. 4 bedrooms had its own bathroom. The fifth bedroom had a bathroom across the hall. The outside fire pit on the balcony was very nice with comfortable seating. Grill was clean and we grilled filets for Valentine’s Day. The owners are nice and were attentive during our whole stay. Definitely would recommend this place for a large group or a family gathering. Close to bourbon distilleries.
