"Hotel is right on the Leas and does have a view over the Channel. Lovely walk down to the harbour arm and old town. Train station 15 minutes away. Folkestone is a great place to visit. Highly recommend"

"Very nice little hotel with very nice and friendly staff. Close walk to the beach. A little hot in the room but to be expected in the summer. There was a fan in the room to cool it down a little. Slept very well. "

"My stay through Hotels.com was lovely. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the owner, Mike, who personally showed me to my room and handed me the keys. He was gracious, kind, and quick to respond to any questions—something I truly appreciate when traveling. His yard is beautifully kept, with lush greenery and blooming flowers that offer a peaceful spot to enjoy a cup of tea or quietly plan the day ahead. "We needed a place to stay for the whole family and had a room with 5 beds facing the sea. Check in worked fine, staff were very friendly and helpful. Pubs and shops in walking distance, will stay again if passing through again."

"Lovely rooms for a short stay in Folkestone and a fantastic breakfast. Only small comment would be that in the summer when the day starts really early, the shutters don't really block the light so we were not able to have much of a lie in - although this is personal preference and only a small comment on an otherwise lovely stay."

"Used the hotel as a night stop before an early ferry. It served thus purpose well was clean fidy with an easy check in helpful manager / owner. The hotel is a little dated but tidy and great for our 1 night stay only 15 minutes from either the ferry or eurotunnel."

"Great, friendly welcome and really convenient for the gig we were going too! Little disappointed that they suddenly stopped serving food just when we went down which meant we had try and and find something last minute but other than that it was ideal for our needs. Also.... the fluffiest towels I have ever come across!!"

"Old hotel needs refurbishment. My room had uneven floor that made noises and the carpet needs to be replaced. The curtains didn't block the sunshine, which caused me to wake up very early. Besides the poor condition of the hotel, it was cheap and the location was good. "

"Amazing place!! We stayed here the night before getting the ferry but we would love to visit again just to stay. The reception and service was brilliant and the food absolutely delicious. An outstanding chef, and all staff went above and beyond. A special place for sure...we wish we had a local place like this to go to."
