Bourbon getaway
Great getaway weekend with family and friends. There were 12 adults all over 25 yrs. The house was just as described and perfectly suited our needs. Very clean and everything needed for our stay. Check in process was super easy and our host was easy to communicate with. Only suggestion we would make is for written directions for the cable tv use...it took a bit to figure out how to access the guide and available channels. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice house, nice neighborhood
We stayed here with a group of families/friends for an event in the area. It was a great house, plenty of space for all of our families to sleep, eat, gather and relax. The hot tub didn’t work great, but the kids sure enjoyed the pool! We will be back!!

Great house for large group getaway
My friends and I stayed in the house for our annual buddies golf trip and it was perfect. The house is in a great neighborhood and very convenient to access city attractions. More importantly for us, the house accommodated our large groups of guys with several comfortable beds and multiple areas for relaxing, playing games, eating, etc. Kitchen was fully stocked and we took advantage of the quality grill. Deck areas were large with plenty of seating. We didn’t make much use of them because of the heat, but it looked perfect for mild days. We did spend plenty of time in the pool. Despite the extreme heat, the pool stayed relatively cool and was roomy enough for 10 big fellas. A perfect place to cool off and unwind after extremely hot days on the golf course. The house has a lot of charm and some quirky decor/features as you can see in the pictures.

Pros and Cons
This property had many positives. The owner/property manager responded when notified of issues. They supplied plenty of coffee, spices, pool towels, paper products, ice. The pool was great and definitely needed during some HOT weather! There was plenty of space for our group of 11 and beds were pretty comfortable. The location was within 10-15 minutes of all of our activities. The Xbox and upstairs family room were great for our kids. There were also several negatives. The listing itself is misleading and needs to be updated. We wanted a walkable location and chose this house due to the statement that it was within a 5 minute walk of Bardstown Road. It is about a mile from Bardstown Road, a 30 minute walk. There are no sidewalks in the immediate neighborhood and you have to walk through the grass along a busy road to get to a sidewalk to walk anywhere. That was disappointing. The landscaping needs some attention to make the outdoor area more pleasant. We had several issues within the first 36 hours of our stay. We contacted the owner/property manager and they took care of those problems in a timely manner. Some updating and TLC would probably have prevented those issues. The owner/property manager is working with us to compensate us for the inconvenience this caused but it was a rough start to our family vacation. Some care and updating of the listing and home could make this a very pleasant rental for large groups.

Archery trip rental
We had 4 grandchildren shooting at the National archery tournament so we turned it into a mini vacation. Very nice neighborhood under 15 minutes travel time to all the locations we needed to visit. Louisville is always a good time!

Best friends weekend getaway
Great property with lots of room! 9 adult friends stayed here for the weekend. Main house, kitchen, bedrooms, baths, and deck area are very nice and clean. The only thing that was disappointing was that the hot tub didn't get real hot. Fix that and it's perfect for a family or friends getaway!! If we come back, we would stay here again.

Great house
We brought our grandkids to Louisville and thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. The kids, all ages, enjoyed the pool, all the amenities and the privacy the pool accorded. I highly recommend this property and the owner was very responsive.

Wonderful experience
Couldn’t be happier! House was large enough for all to have their own space. Separate mother in law unit was a blessing. The second floor gathering area was well equipped with Xbox and play station. Kept the 4 grandkids well entertained! The pool was a godsend with the 90+ temperatures we endured. House was well supplied with paper goods, laundry products, spices and coffee. One of the best homes we’ve rented in over 20 years. Ali was easy to work with and responded to all question in a rapid fashion. It is a house you won’t regret renting!!

We'd come back!
Our stay was really good, the house had just about everything we needed and a very well stocked kitchen (except for dish towels). We loved the pool and deck out back. The location was great too! Cons: mainly just communication - pool cleaning robot wasn't working, it took the owner over 4 hours to respond (after both an email and text was sent). He did not come out until the next day but he did fix it. We were told ice was in the basement. There was a fridge there and a big bag of ice was in the freezer, however the last day of the trip we found an actual ice machine! Wish we had known this to start with....the machine was not marked and a note about it should have been left in the kitchen. There was also nothing about the area; i.e. where to eat, shop, etc. We researched our own shopping excursion and found a cute little town called Norton Commons, however it would have been nice to have several locations already laid out (we missed the one that supposedly was within walking distance (more than a half mile away on busy roads)..........Lastly, the air temperature upstairs was not consistent. Two front bedrooms were very hot at night (bring a fan) and two back bedrooms were freezing. I emailed the owner this review so he is now aware.

Spacious Home
The home worked out extremely well for our family of seven adults and one toddler. The high chair and blocks were nice for my grandson. Lots of comfortable spaces to sleep and play in and a well stocked kitchen . The host was extremely responsive and accommodating! No sidewalks right near the house but we went to many parks with short car rides. Thank you

Louisville house close to downtown
We had a group of 7 stay at the property and it was a great size. We all had a bed and the space allowed great spots to hang out. We did a few big meals and the kitchen was well equipped to handle this. Proximity to downtown was great, a quick 10-15 minute drive. This place checked all the boxes for us!

We had a good time.
We had a good time and the owner was very responsive. Had a small problem with one of the ovens but there's a second oven in the mother-in-law's suite. Pool was great and everybody had a good time. The owner was very responsive to anything we had questions about. We really enjoyed ourselves.

It was a nice place. I slipped down the side steps off of the porch. The top step was rotten. But the new deck was great! Pool was clean. House was clean! Lots of towels and bedding! Will definitely recommend!

Lovely Property. Quiet neighborhood. Perfect centralized location.
We were a family of 4 adults. Plenty of space for more. Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect centralized location with easy access to all the places we wanted to visit. Beds were all clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied. The pool was wonderful. The homeowners were very easy to work with. Louisville was a delight to visit, the people were very friendly and the food was awesome. I would highly recommend this home for your visit to a great vacation area.

We were in town for a family wedding and wanted a nice place to hangout before and after the rehearsal and wedding. The place was great. Alot of space inside and out, big bedrooms, the pool. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that needed some attention were a few overgrown flower beds.

Amazing house with amazing hosts!
My groomsman and I stayed in Ali's home for my bachelor party weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. There were more than enough beds and couches for people to sleep, bathrooms to use, and fridges for food and beverages. The hot tub was awesome, but unfortunately it was too early in the season for the pool to be open. Ali was great and accommodated a later checkout so we had extra time to clean and recover from a bourbon-filled weekend. Would definitely stay here again with a big group!

Team V on the Bourbon Trail
A bit of a confusion when booking. Post says 5 minute walk to Bardstown rd. We misunderstood this as being close to Bardstown the town, but great location for getting around. Great house with a lot of space for 3 couples. Quiet neighborhood with many trees and hills. Couldn’t sleep in one bed due to a huge yellow stain, but had many options. The beds were average, a little old. Good showers and bathroom facilities. The kitchen and TV room had a lot of use by us. Very stocked kitchen for foodies like us during Covid. The only frustration here was the oven temperature, needs calibration. Hot tub was clean and hot. I would recommend this house to anyone. Thanks Ali.

Lots of space for guests but house needs care
This property served our needs for a mutual meeting spot to get together with our family during the pandemic, especially with the goal to spend time outside in the pool. The house itself definitely needs improvements, as many rooms are dark with stained carpet, walls and furniture. The owner was very nice and responsive before and during our stay, which certainly made the experience more pleasant. There were a few things that were missing from the photos or not working when we got there like a fire pit and grill, but the owner was very accommodating to provide these working items the next day.

Amazing House & Amazing Owners
I have rented a lot of homes in the past for girls or family weekends and this by far had the best owners. Carol met us there and gave us a tour of the house, I found this nice and super personable. The property was great for a girls weekend and we took full advantage of the pool and hot tub. The location was close to everything we had planned to do. The upstairs air conditioner went out on the second day we were there and we really didn’t notice till about 10pm. We contacted Carol and Ali to see if maybe we weren’t doing something right. Ali ended up coming over and checking, unfortunately it wasn’t an easy fix but they had an HVAC guy come out at about 11:30pm on a Friday night to fix it. If that isn’t great service I don’t know what is. We would definitely recommend this property, not only for the space and amenities but also because the owners are so attentive and amazing!!

Good for a larger gathering
I rented this property with my family for my wedding weekend in Louisville. Overall the hosts were responsive and it was a great location for a family gathering. The pool was a great addition for the hot summer weekend. I do think it was slightly expensive compared to other houses in Louisville, but we ultimately went with this house because of the large size, pool, and policy allowing parties (low key family gathering).

Girls Getaway to Louisville
The house is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Ali was a very generous host- considering there were no other bookings directly before us or after us he was able to be very flexible on timing. I was really impressed by that- it really made our trip incredibly easier. We had girls flying in from varying parts of the country- the house was a 10 min drive to the airport. It was also very easy to find if driving. Overall- our stay was a total breeze. I’d definitely stay here again.

Wonderful weekend

A cozy, spacious home with great amenities for a group, and such hospitality!
We took a long weekend with a group of eight friends for a first-time trip to explore the Louisville distilleries. The house had plenty of rooms (5 private rooms including the mother-in-law suite), 1 family room with a bed if there are people who just need a comfortable place to lay down, a well-stocked kitchen with plenty of tools and basic amenities like coffee/ condiments, and two comfortable common areas for hanging out together. Not to mention the hot tub and pool! Highly recommended, and Ali is an incredibly hospitable host. Property was a quick uber ride from Louisville downtown--convenient, and well worth it to stay at this spacious, comfortable property.

Great House and Owners
We were able to check-in early, greeted by one of the owners, and given a tour. They were open and accommodating, and easy to reach when we had questions or issues. Great backyard with pool and hot tub.
