Tranquil and private beach retreat surrounded by lush greenery and boasting stunning ocean and sunset views. This 1 bedroom, 1 bath, fully detached unit is the perfect long or short-term getaway for couples or small families (max. occupancy of 4). We are located just four blocks from the world famous Redondo Beach Pier where you'll enjoy fine dining, nightlife, sports and recreational activities for all ages.

This lovely home is located on a quiet street at the rear of an owner occupied property with a private gated yard and garage parking for 1 vehicle, laundry, and a relaxing deck. beach towels are provided for your enjoyment. Inside you will find a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and coffee maker, a bedroom with queen sized bed and a second queen sized convertible sofa bed in the living room. Free WIFI is provided along with a 32" TV with multiple channels and a dvd player.

Conveniently located in the heart of the South Bay and a short drive from LAX, the Westside, Downtown LA, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and all that Southern California has to offer. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this wonderful property is your perfect home-away-from-home!

This was a cute place to stay literally minutes walk from the beach. We came to check out colleges in SoCal. I wanted to show our daughter biking on the strand and we were not disappointed ! Very nice

Perfect for couples, private, quiet, there is a big tree at the entrance, that makes it feel like you're in a tree house (fun!!), 15 minute walk to the Redondo Beach Pier, many restaurants to choose from. Watch the sunrise and sunset from the couch, lovely.

Small place close to the beach

The property is overall pretty good, just very small. The kitchen is tight but has what you need. I wouldnā€™t do this with kids again. A couple will be okay but not with kids. The one bathroom is in the bedroom so anyone sleeping on the couch would have to come through the room. The floors are super noisy as itā€™s old wood and not very tight. Every step can be heard throughout the place. Also, the walk in could really use some more lighting. That said, itā€™s got a good view and itā€™s only a couple of blocks to the beach and Redondo Pier.

Disappointing

Location & area brilliant. View would have been excellent apart from the poor state of the owner Mattā€™s yard which was located in front of outside decking & partial front window ( can provide photos ) view of sunset amazing. The enclosed garden downstairs (house up wooden steps ) was absolutely appalling.. garden furniture dirty & green algae so wasnā€™t used & down the side of the property we were renting for the whole week in our enclosed garden was junk and rubbish just thrown down the side in view , we were horrified as this was something that the owner could have easily removed as it was his own junk & to make matters worse was already charging a large cleaning fee !! The house itself was a delightful old character coastal home just what we wanted in a residential area , the neighbours and folk we spoke to were really lovely but we were very disappointed in the state of the bedding especially in the bed settee which was poorly maintained and requested more which came quickly but was old, worn and torn Bathroom desperately needs an extractor fan or dehumidifier as towels were still wet the next day and the bedclothes felt damp in the evenings although late September early October we had to put heating on to air the rooms & a clothes airer would be useful for bathroom towels etc. I would also say that the property is a bit small for 4 adults and better for 2 adults & 2 children for bed settee. All this has been emailed to VRBO who have not dealt with my complaint yet

Great Location

This ADU was cute and had a fantastic location, very close to great restaurants and cafes. We agreed with other review though that the place could use some updates, we couldnā€™t find a light in the kitchen so we cooked in the dark. The furnace warps when you turn it on and the loud bang that comes from the twang is startling. The bathroom could use some more counter space and the grout needs repair by the window. My car was also too wide to park comfortably in the garage so we street parked. But the bed was comfortable and overall the place was cute and homey.

Comfortable hangout with sunny deck

Our weeklong vacation to visit family was a bust, because I caught a nasty cold on day 1, which meant I spent most of my time at the property. Thankfully, itā€™s a bright and very comfortable place to be. It was warm enough in the sun to sit on the deck midday and watch squirrels and hummingbirds. The sofa bed in the living room allowed us to sleep separately, so my husband didnā€™t catch my cold. The location, close to the beach, Hermosa Greenbelt Trail, restaurants, and more, allowed him to have some fun without totally abandoning me. Now, we have to go back, be healthy, and have a real vacation.

This place was PERFECT. Smaller on the inside but not lacking anything! Awesome outdoor spaces to relax, private & cozy, ocean view from the couch and THE BEST location! Each day we explored a different LA community and it was never too far from home base. So central! 10-20 minutes from anything you want! We spent a day @ SoFi, a day in Venice, a day in Long Beach and a day in Hollywood. We were always happy to be going back to this place to relax and refresh. Not for more than 2-3 people but I would encourage it for any small group. Do it! You wont be disappointed.

Nice, but too pricey

Cozy home, bit further from the beach than I thought. No bikes available, that was a bit dissapointent. Too pricey for wat you get. Even everything in the house (detergent, toiletpaper etc) was very tight. Poor value for money.

The main photo of the ocean views was a zoomed in picture so the beach is further than anticipated. The plumbing issues caused us to have no hot water to shower on the last day and night that we were there. The gas was turned off to our stove top and oven on one day. The pilot light on the heater was not lit so we could not turn on the heat. A barking dog in the neighbors yard was unpleasant. The place was immaculate and kudos to the cleaning crew. Bring your own bath soap.

Disappointed w/ description, amenities location , price and has a NOISY heater

The heater in this rental is very old and has a CONSTANT noise and every approximate hour or so a LOUD bang which really startled us the first couple of times and then we just put up with it. We have several vacation rentals that we manage and also own in Hawaii and they are well stocked with essentials such as soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. in the shower this rental had NONE. Two rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels causing us to conserve and ended up barely being enough, two coffee mugs so I used a glass for my coffee. The access was blocked two nights so we had to park on the street and a white car at the bottom of the alley way at times was parked so close to the narrow alley way we scraped the bottom of the front bumper going over a jagged piece of concrete. The communication by the host was not performed by the host in a timely manner. There is a dog next door that barks quite a bit at different times of any given day. We stayed at three other rentals while on this trip and gave them a 5 Starr rating because they were well stocked in fact two of them were ā€œover the topā€. This rental is overpriced in a crowded compact neighborhood the three homes around it are approximately 25 feet away and this rental is quite old with a noisy heater.

Great location

This location was perfect for visiting LA and beyond, our trip stretched from Ventura to San Diego. It was nice to be able to walk down to the beach and to local restaurants and shops. Nice to have the garage, a full kitchen and laundry facilities. The only thing I that could make it better would be a ceiling fan in the bedroom for hotter days and a laundry basket. Be careful pulling I to the driveway with a low car and be on the lookout for the skunk that can sometimes be in the small yard.

Perfect Spot

Such a great treehouse bungalow! View of ocean and sunset, private raised patio, garage parking and every amenity we needed. Walked to pier and surrounding areas. Our only wish was for more local restaurants and a grocery within walking distance. Trader Joeā€™s and tons of restaurants and bars within a few miles drive though-We will be back!
