LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION . . . this property is a guest favorite! "Maison de Fleurs” cottage - centered just off 2nd. St. located in the most desired area of Long Beach - BELMONT SHORE. A "GEM" of a property with A/C and PRIVATE GARAGE. Just steps from all of the shops, boutiques, restaurants/eateries, coffee shops, pubs. The beach is a short walk up our street.

3 Guest Rooms: the master with a king and the other two have queen beds.

The kitchen . . . with french door refrigerator, double oven with convection, 6 burner gas range, dishwasher, microwave and 12 cup coffee maker. If you enjoy cooking outdoors, our Kitchen Aide gas BBQ awaits your grilling expertise!

Free high speed internet/WiFi, cable, flat screen TV's (3).

For some of the local activities: Take a tour of the famous Queen Mary, visit the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific or if you have time - take the ferry to Catalina island. Go whale watching and most likely you'll get to see some dolphins frolicking alongside the boat. You might enjoy riding a bike or walking along the canals of Naples Island to look at beautiful homes, boats and/or beaches. If you don't feel like walking, consider a gondola ride and relax while you enjoy the scenery on the water! Visit the Long Beach Art Museum or our local Performing Art Center.

**Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm is a 30 minute drive . . . or take an Uber/Lift and bypass parking fees.

If you're visiting the Long Beach Convention Center, we're a 10 minute drive along the coastline. There’s also an “hourly” bus that will also shuttle you to Shoreline Village another area with shops, restaurants and sightseeing.

The property is an easy drive to South Coast Plaza, Huntington Beach's popular 'surf city' or Seal Beach.

AIRPORT SUGGESTIONS
(LGB) Long Beach Airport - (15 minutes from property)
(SNA) Orange County Airport is (30 minutes from property)
(LAX) Los Angeles Inter. Airport (35 minutes from property - shuttle to car rental locations)


Timewise, LGB is much easier getting 'in and out' of than LAX as it's much smaller and very close to our cottage. SNA (also known as John Wayne Airport) is also a smaller airport and located in Orange County. Timeframes can vary depending on the time of day and current traffic conditions.

Really enjoyed our stay in LB. Home has older charm with well selected furnishings, bedding & decor. Bed was very comfortable after a day at the beach or site seeing. Close to 2nd St for restaurants & shops, nice beach about 4 blocks away. Beach towels & beach chairs available. Back yard is wonderfully landscaped with plants & flowers which provide shade, very comfortable even during summer temps; unexpected in an urban setting and added a nice touch. Nice extension of the living space to enjoy the outdoors. Kelly was very responsive and provided suggestions and info for us during our stay.

This cottage is perfect for your Long Beach vacation. It is spotlessly clean, has device chargers in nearly every room and a stunning Zen garden/courtyard. The pictures in the description are excellent, but seeing this home in person will blow you away! The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the linens are quite nice. Anything you need for a beach day is provided (the beach is a short walk away). The neighborhood cannot be topped. It is a short walk to several awesome restaurants, bakeries and cute shops. Even though we did not have a car, knowing there is a garage would take away a huge burden of having to park. Kelly is a top notch host, was amazing to work with, prompt with her responses and has a fantastic binder of menus of local restaurants (which is not common in many rentals). This was our first trip to Long Beach and we fell in love with the city. We will definitely be back and we would love to stay in this lovely cottage once again. By the way, the display of old sea captain figurines is adorable! Thanks again, Kelly!

We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful cottage. It's right off Second Street, so getting to shops and restaurants was a breeze, and the beach was about a 10-minute walk. Kelly has poured her heart into this home and garden space, and it shows! The back patio is a dream garden, and the interior is a fabulous mix of antiques and beach vibe. Kelly made sure that we had everything we needed, and even left vases of fresh cut flowers in every room, straight from the yard.

Our stay at Kelly’s home in Belmont Shore was absolutely fantastic! We have stayed at 7-8 VRBO homes and Kelly was absolutely great. From communication, information on the area, cleanliness, overall just felt like home and was super welcoming. While I can see this area being a great spot for adults (bars, restaurants) nearby, we really enjoyed it with our two kids (3,5). You can walk to a kid friendly beach, visited the Long Beach aquarium, Knott’s Berry Farm, as well as plenty of other things a close drive away. Again property was comfy, clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and plan to go back in the future. If you are interested in visiting this area you can’t go wrong with this home!

This is the most adorable little bungalow. Only 3 houses from 2nd street. House is decorated beautifully but even more than that we LOVED the courtyard! It is immaculately landscaped and the flowers were gorgeous. I drank coffee every morning with the scent of the jasmine waking me up. Host was extremely attentive with great instructions on how to find the alley with the garage. I was given advice to not book a place without parking and that was correct! I’ve been telling everyone I know to go to Belmont Shore and book this house!

We were delighted with Maison de Fleurs from first seeing it - very attractive - to opening the door and being pleasantly surprised by how spacious it is. And it is really a home from home, delightfully furnished and well-equipped. The rear courtyard garden is also a delight. We slept very well in the huge master and the house was very peaceful. The location could not be be bettered, a minute from 2nd Strret's shops and restaurants and bars and a short walk to the beach. Just perfect.

The house was wonderful! Everything was ready for us and immaculately clean and well presented to a very high standard! The house was well equipped and close to restaurants, cafes and the wonderful beaches and canals of Long Beach. Kelly, the host, was fantastic. This is our 2nd year staying here. We go to Long Beach for a Bbq competition at Famous Dave’s. This home is perfect and never disappoints. There is some kind of WINNING vibe in this home as we Won last year and again this year! Always clean and completely stocked with everyday items you need. Stay here and you won’t regret it.

First off, we enjoyed our stay and would 100% stay at Kelly’s fantastic bungalow again! It was clean, very cute, and had everything we wanted in a long weekend vacation rental. One thing I would like to note, that is mentioned n the description but not particularly well, is that the master bedroom is accessed through the 2nd bedroom. It wasn’t a huge problem for our group but was not ideal. Additionally, the listing is incorrect in some parts (so again confusing, or misleading if you don’t read the full description) about what the 2nd bathroom in the master has as far as amenities. There is NOT a shower in the 2nd bathroom, just a sink and a toilet. Again this worked fine for our group but wasn’t ideal. Just to emphasize, we enjoyed our stay and Kelly’s house was great, but I felt the listing description could be more clear.

Property is in a great location, literally steps from 2nd St. And a short walk to the beach. The house itself was perfect, 3 large bedrooms, a backyard that is amazing and all the amenities. This house is the most charming ever, and Kelly makes it feel like you are staying at your aunt Sue’s French cottage. From the fresh flowers in the windows to the cozy blankets in the living room, she has thought of everything. The master bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in, and the kitchen had everything. She even stocks bathroom stuff, just in case you forgot it. The location can't be beat and is a 10-minute walk to anything your heart desires. We will be back.

The location is superb, a short walk to the beach and just a few steps out the front door to restaurants, craft beers, coffee, and dessert! The back patio is private with a beautiful array of plants and hummingbird attracting flowers-so enjoyable just watching them buzz around. The kitchen has just what you need to cook up a fabulous meal-we enjoyed steaks on the grill with some good wine! Our host checked on us to ensure we had what we needed for a memorable stay! The Cottage by the Sea would be a repeat for my family.

The house was lovely and the location couldn’t have been better. Just around corner from 2nd street which had a large selection of very good restaurants and bars and only 10 minutes walk to beach. We also went to Disney a couple of days which was about a 30 minute drive. Belmont Shore was a lovely area for walking around and the locals were extremely friendly. Kelly could not have been more helpful and definitely the best host we’ve had at any Vrbo rental ( and we’ve had a lot). Highly recommend this place.

This is a gem of a property. Classic Belmont Shore bungalow. Amenities are great, nice quality master bed (King size). Comfortable living. Backyard redesign is wonderful. Evening wine on the front porch and people watching is great. We cooked most of the time but also ate out in the Shore. Morning walks on the beach are wonderful. Very convenient. One of the best places to rent in the shore. Love it.

I have stayed in the area several times. I will share the good and the things that could possibly be improved. The location is great, right by 2nd street and the beach. The backyard is super cute. The things I would improve are things like only having one wash cloth for 6 days and 5 people. I also would have liked either a Keurig or programmable coffee pot. The other thing to note is none of the bedroom doors have locks and to enter the master bedroom you must either go outside or walk through someone else’s bedroom. There isn’t really any privacy in any of the bedrooms, as they are all close together. We did appreciate Kelly’s communication and having a small garage was nice to avoid having to move a car for street sweeping. The home is decorated very nicely too. Overall the stay was nice, there were just a few minor inconveniences.

Perfect house with gorgeous backyard garden oasis for morning coffee and a lovely front patio for cocktails in the evening. The house decor was just as the pictures show with a designer touch. Loved the house, location right by Second Street and our host, Kelly was a gem! We hope to return soon.
