Host was very responsive, there’s a few things I didn’t like and did like. The blinds need updating, carpet needs cleaning. The smoke detectors were pulled out and in the closet, I did love the washer and dryer, we had plenty of towels, kitchen was well stocked, but all said and done, it was good

Overall, a wonderful experience. Great location and proximity to the harbor. Having a parking space was key! Though the pic shows the pool, I never saw it. I guess that's dependent upon the unit that is available at check-in. Suggestions to the owner:1. replace the 1" plastic mini-blinds which were in bad condition2. provide cleaning products for guests to use while there3. put placemats on glass dining table to prevent possible damage4. provide more towels/washcloths. We discovered some left in the dryer

Stayed for Loyola Marimount visit

My daughter and I stayed here for our visit to see Loyola Marimount. Perfect location. Close to the college and nice neighborhood. We got in late because getting out of LAX was a nightmare. Walked down the street and found a restaurant still serving dinner late at night. Only complaint was the construction project next door but otherwise it was everything we needed for a place to stay.

Not as expected

Writing this review is hard because I can't honestly speak to this listing. My family and I were assigned the wrong apartment upon arrival. The owner of the listing, once I told him the unit he gave me was not the same one as the one advertised, told me there had been a mix-up and another renter was given the apartment I originally booked. It was disappointing, to say the least. The apartment we were assigned to had a lot of issues. Old and broken furniture, two twin-size beds instead of a queen bed, the AC leaked from the ceiling, so we had to squeeze the towels left underneath it every day, so there wasn't a puddle of water on the hallway, a whole rotisserie chicken was left in the microwave from previous renters - so we couldn't use the microwave, the washer was full of dirty linens and towels, and there were a couple of dead insects in one of the toilets. The stove had grease in several places, and the kitchen lacked enough cups for hot liquids (it only had two coffee cups). But the worst was the intense cigar smoke smell coming from one of the bathrooms. The smell was so strong that it carried to the living room and one of the rooms. We sprayed Febreze every time we used the bathroom so we could bare the smell. I immediately told the owner about the smell, and he instacart me some febreeze sprays and chocolates. He did reimburse me the cleaning fee as well. We stayed in the apartment because we just didn't have time to look around or move around as we had a tight schedule. Our only relief was that the apartment was in a great area, close to restaurants, a grocery store, a mall, and a freeway. I got two parking spots in a gated parking garage. So we felt safe. We were just a bit uncomfortable because the apartment was definitely not very clean. Also, the day before we left, I asked for the wifi password, and I never heard from the owner. We had a hot spot, so I used it to stream a show. I wish he would have that info available near the wifi device so we wouldn't have to be bothering them. So I will say that if you book this place, triple-check with the owner that you are getting the apartment that is advertised. As I said, we got the complete opposite of the apartment we thought we had booked. I want to believe it was an honest mistake, and that it was an error. The owner told me he felt bad for what had happened. So I do hope that whoever rents this listing next doesn't have the same experience we did.
