This place really wants to be cool (think Palm Springs circa 2014), but it misses the mark.
Underneath the facade, it's cheap. Cheap towels, cheap toilet paper, and worst of all, uncomfortable pillows. But my real problem is that there were three paperback books next to a malfunctioning coffee maker -- coffee spilled on the books and I was charged $64 for three paperbacks — which would have cost an additional $23 to ship to me. I'm livid, and any goodwill I may have had toward this hotel is gone. With this kind of customer service, I cannot recommend and won’t be returning.
