"We had a fantastic time, with so much to do outdoors, our 5 boys had no problem falling asleep completely exhausted at the end of the day. It’s a mix between “Glamping” and “camping” the cabin was super cute. Has a full fridge and microwave, with an outdoor grill. There’s no toilets or running water in the cabin, but the main lodge has showers and toilets and a full kitchen to use, and the cabin is like 50 feet from it. We had a blast and the kids have asked to come back here every year from now...

"If you do not understand “rustic” this is NOT the place for you. If you MUST have complete privacy (no doors on either bedroom) this is probably not the place for you. "The location was great and the cabin was perfect! If you're looking for a log cabin in the quiet woods on the river, this is it. It was spacious and comfortable and impressively clean! The cabin had everything we needed, too. The shower water pressure was great. The only negative of our trip was the insane brood of mosquitos! "To no fault of the property owner, the cleaners had not cleaned or changed the sheets before our arrival. We had to call Evolve Travel, whi had to track down the owner. The owner was unable to get a hold of the cleaners, but was gracious enough to give us the code to the shed where clean sheets were kept. The floors were filthy!!! The top of the toilet tank was off because you had to jiggle the parts for it to flush correctly. The owner had obviosly bought all new sheets, towels,kitchen utensils...

"You might want to do more research before you book here. FYI this cabin does not have a bathroom. It is situated on an old Boy Scout Camp, and the bathroom facility is in the main lodge of the camp. There is a cabin within just a couple feet of this one, so there isn’t any privacy. The manager was kind, and since our stay did not match the description of the property, he did work with us to make it right."

"We had a blast. The cabin is beautiful and very big its in a nice quiet area out in the woods but still close enough to town if you need anything and close to the AuSable river which is awesome. Will definitely go back. Also Robin was so nice and always responded immediately to all my questions. Oh yeah it comes with 4 kayaks so that saves a lot of money so you don't have to rent then from hitchman acres so that's cool. "

"Nicely decorated and clean. Check in and departure was a breeze with a door code given to you prior to arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked with whatever you needed to cook with and plenty of towels available for both kitchen/bath. Thankful for the AC during our stay when the temps were in the 90's. Shane responded quickly to any questions or concerns. The sunsets were an added bonus to our stay. Would definitely recommend."
