The boat features one cosy bedroom with a comfortable double bed, perfect for two guests, and a bathroom fitted with a shower. Everything is on one level, making it an easy space to move around and settle into.
The heart of the boat is the inviting living area, complete with a sofa for relaxing. The kitchen is equipped with essential appliances, including an induction hob, and a dining space at the kitchen bar where you can enjoy meals together. At the rear, just outside the bedroom, you’ll find a private terrace — an ideal spot to sip a drink while watching the water and soaking up the atmosphere of the river.

The charm lies in its closeness to nature and the water — which can sometimes mean a little mud along the riverbanks. We recommend bringing suitable footwear, and we’ll provide a couple of pairs of wellies in case you get caught out by the tide and so you can step aboard and embrace the adventure in comfort! 🌿🐟

Staying on a houseboat overlooking the historic Kew Bridge in Brentford means embracing a distinctive lifestyle, shaped by the surrounding riverbanks and wildlife. The neighbourhood itself is a lively and historic part of West London, known for its waterside charm, green spaces, and cultural attractions. The world-famous Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew are literally opposite and only a few minutes’ walk away, offering stunning landscapes and glasshouses filled with rare plants. In the immediate vicinity is the historic Strand on the Green, where period houses line the riverside and charming pubs offer a step back in time. The Gtech Community Stadium, home of the Brentford Bees, is on the doorstep, while nearby Gunnersbury Park hosts a variety of events, including the Soho House festival. Brentford is also home to Syon Park with its stately house and gardens, the fascinating Musical Museum, and the much-loved London Museum of Water & Steam.
For the ultimate riverside dining experience head to one of the pubs along Strand on the Green, where the tide can quite literally lap at your feet. Brentford also has a thriving food and drink scene, with plenty of cosy pubs and welcoming restaurants along the riverside. Popular spots include The Black Dog, loved for its craft beers, and The Brewery Tap, known for its historic character and ales. For dining, Sam’s Riverside is a favourite for modern British dishes, while a variety of independent eateries across the neighbourhood add to the charm.
Kew Bridge is the nearest station, giving you quick and easy access to central London. From here, you can travel on the South Western Railway line towards Waterloo, or connect with nearby Gunnersbury Station for the District Line and London Overground services. This makes exploring both the local area and the wider city incredibly convenient.

* Smoking is strictly prohibited on the the entirety of the boat. If you need to smoke you must do up on the Thames River path (the path for which you entered the mooring)
* Organising parties is strictly prohibited on the boat
* Any excessive noise in the property must be prevented, out of respect for the neighbours
* City Relay is not liable for any loss of keys or any other boat items
* Rubbish disposal must be done by following the instructions provided for the boat
* No pets are allowed (except Service Dogs)
The boat will only accept the number of guests booked as per the booking confirmation. Any additional guests not confirmed on the booking will not be accepted or subject to an additional charge.
Each guest will be asked to complete a pre-check-in form prior to arrival and be asked to share a form of governmental identification, Passports are required for non UK residents and UK drivers licence or passport is required for UK nationals.
This boat is located in a residential area and guests are asked to refrain from excessive noise, and will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
Please note that last-minute reservations being made within 24 hours from the arrival date are subject to a change in check-in time from 4 P.M to 7 P.M.

With City Relay, the standard option of self check-in and usually means collecting your key via an onsite lockbox. We do also offer the option of an in person assisted check-in and should you request this, one of the team will meet you at the boat to hand over the keys and give you a quick tour of the boat and provide any assistance as required. For this service a fee of £40 would apply between 4pm and 7pm and a fee of £60 would apply from 7pm onwards.
Guests must leave the boat in the same state as when they checked in.
