"Its beautiful. They have thought of everything you might need & then some. Loved watching the exotic animals & the peaceful surroundings. The cabin feels like home. I love the "Andi Sloan" sayings! The cookies were delicious. They even sent messages of love day of funeral. John & Karen are very special people. You can tell how much they love people & the area. Itll be the best vacation every. "We had a wonderful girls weekend at the Peaceful Country Retreat with my best friend and her two daughters. The house was perfect and very spacious and lots to keep the kids entertained without having to leave the house for the weekend. We caught so many good size bass and enjoyed cooking out and enjoying the back porch and the scenery. Kelly was very responsive and helpful when needed we can't wait to come back! "

"Beautiful location on Lake Buchanan. We saw spectacular sunsets from our room, which had a back door to enjoy the lakefront. The room was very comfortable with a well stocked kitchenette - sink, full size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, regular coffee maker, Keurig coffee pod machine, stovetop burners, and even a cute s’more kit in the fridge to use with the patio grill. "We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. The house is very well maintained and had everything we might need! The hosts are incredible and responsive if anything came up. And when they warn about the stickers on the walk to the lake, they aren’t joking! Those stickers are awful. But overall, we had a really great time. It ended up raining pretty much the whole time we were there, but we made great use of the card games that were provided! Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again!"

"Perfect place for a weekend getaway from the city life. House is well stocked with everything you might need. Some reviews say that water is a long walk, it's really not, even though the lake receded quite a bit, it's approx a min walk to the water. We didn't swim in the "back yard", we drove down to the public beaches, about 15 min drive. Nice a quiet area, but if you are looking for something more up beat, town is a short drive away. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Lake...
