This charming cabin offers a perfect escape from the bustle of everyday life, inviting you to relax and reconnect with nature. As you approach Whip-poor-will, the inviting exterior greets you with its rustic charm. The surrounding forest of towering hemlock trees provides a sense of seclusion and privacy, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Must be 21 years or older to rent. My husband and I were very pleased with everything. The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. Only down side was the bed. It definitely needs upgraded to a more comfortable mattress!

Weekend Getaway

Overall pleased with the cabin and our stay. Communication was easy and the check-in / check-out processes were a breeze. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and slanted so you have to sleep at the foot of it. The hot tub is in need of some maintenance (still working though).

Cozy couples cabin retreat to get away to unplug

Yes, the cabin is slanty. Yes, the road to it is a lil treacherous (to be expected in Hocking Hills), and there was some construction happening nearby for part of our trip… But for all its quirks, the place was charming and we really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is nestled into the side of a hill that overlooks a small creek. We loved the fire pit, walking around the grounds, and the gorgeous views. It’s a bit off the beaten path and was the perfect spot to get away and unplug. We had some minor issues and the hosts communicated promptly and resolved them. Overall, we’re happy and had a great time!

Cozy cabin getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at the Whip-poor-will cabin. It was perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. We enjoyed the surrounding area, very secluded and peaceful. We enjoyed the nice sized deck on the cabin as well as the fire pit. The location worked very well for our visits to the various sites in Hocking Hills. The host provided a binder of information including maps as well as an online pdf guidebook that was helpful in locating the various sites/hikes and nearby grocery stores and restaurants. The host was very communicative in addressing our questions/issues. This was our first visit to Hocking Hills and we had a great weekend getaway!

NEEDS NEW BED!

The location is amazing but the cabin itself has a terrible lean and the bed is the worst that I've ever slept on. I even considered sleeping in my car - it's that bad. I shouldn't have to feel the springs through the mattress. The only thing that saved me was the hot tub.

The relaxing get away that we needed.

This cable was in a great location. I was able to disconnect and spend time with my partner and take in the sights and sounds of the Hocking Hills area. We both enjoyed the comfort of the cabin and the distance it was away from everything. Perfect size and one would book again for our next trip.

Wonderful time here

Beautiful little cabin, with a couple of quirks, but they didn't make our time here any less special! The bathroom toilet didn't want to flush, and the space heater in the living room wouldn't turn on for us. Just letting you know for your next people, we got the toilet to flush, and the cabin stayed plant warm for us :)

Perfect couples get away

My wife and I loved the cabin. It was very remote and private which is what we wanted, but it was only 15 minutes from anything we wanted to do. The hot tub and gas fire place were great. My only negative critiques were 1. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. It's an old spring mattress and we just couldn't sleep very well. Also the email said check out was 10am but the app we downloaded said it was 11am. Other than those two issues, everything else was great. Thank you.

Peaceful and Relaxing

This cabin is small and crooked and nestled on the side of a hill in the woods and is the perfect place to unwind! The cabin was spotlessly clean and everything was as advertised. We did have a small issue with the hot tub, but one email and almost instantaneous response cleared everything up! Do not rent this if you want to sit in the lap of luxury, but if you want a real cabin in the woods for you and the one you love and all of the peace and de-stressing that comes with it, this is your place! We loved every minute of it.

Highly Disappointing

Upon arrival my husband and I were just walking around and taking everything in. We made it to the balcony area where there was a pile of dog poop that had apparently been left by the person staying there prior to us. We couldn’t figure out how to get the hot tub temperature to increase and the fireplace was not able to be used, these were the two very features that we chose this cabin for. We contacted someone from the phone number listed for this cabin and they attempted to tell me the exact same directions that were already printed out in a book within the cabin. We did figure out the hot tub on our own. The fireplace not working was a huge disappointment. I contacted the people in charge of this cabin and regarding that matter and they said they were discussing it with the maintenance team to come to a solution. The following day was Christmas so of course no maintenance person was available. With no word the following day I proceeded to text them again and suggested the only reasonable solution at this time plus be a partial refund. Their response: we could discuss after our checkout. I waited a few hours after that to once again ask about this potential partial refund, was dismissed, and told that someone would get back to me shortly. Going on 5 days with out anyone contacting me. I sent another text yesterday, I was told that she was setting a reminder for this person in management. I have emailed them as well and gotten nothing. There was also mold on shower curtain!

Road in and out is narrow, actual signage to the drive entrance cannot be seen at night. A. Mirror in the bathroom would be nice, toilet cubby is very tight. Over all nice secluded location. Everything needed was there.

Cabin in the woods

Really nice cute place. Nice hot tub. The cabin was clean and well decorated.The bed was squeaky and somewhat comfortable. Water pressure weak after flushing the toilet. The floor slopes a little at the back of the cabin. All in all a fun little place for a getaway.
