The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything required for our stay. Breakfast was good, and the available parking was very convenient. "Great stay! Could t fault the accommodation at all! 5 min drive from zip world, host left some extras for us, tea coffee sugar milk bottle of bubbly and some chocolates and shortbread! Excellent touch! Some nice walks nearby weather your a novice or a professional hiker something for everyone! Will definitely stay again! "Pet-friendly BUT you need to know that the guesthouse is just a small part of a large caravan and camping site. There’s also a field of horses. Guesthouse clients with dogs are only allowed in rooms accessible from the outside; we weren’t allowed inside the building. So my room opened directly onto the access road, with all the mud and noise that comes from all the traffic, walkers, and horses that passed in front of the door and small window. "The room and bathroom was great. Really clean, quiet and relaxing. We were able to take our dog also which was great. There is food available in the restaurant but quite expensive so we went elsewhere. Only negative was the nearest town had nowhere to eat out (it was quite run down) so we had to drive further afield for dinner but found a lovely pub called The Grape which did nice, reasonably priced food. I guess this hotel is a good base for hikers and nicely located next to zip world."

"Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads! Food in the pub at dinner time was expensive and average, although breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Enjoyed our stay very much. "
