LIVING AREAS:

Step inside and you'll find a cosy, well-equipped pod designed for slowing down and enjoying the Welsh countryside. The comfortable double bed gives you a relaxing place to settle in after a day exploring, while the double sofa bed provides additional sleeping space.

Open the doors onto your private outdoor area and you can enjoy a morning coffee surrounded by countryside, or settle outside with a drink and BBQ in the evening. The riverside setting makes it particularly easy to switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet.



DINING AREAS:

The dining table seats up to 4 people and is ideal for a sit-down meal in the evening, with additional outdoor dining available on your private deck.



KITCHEN/COOKING FACILITIES:

The kitchenette is equipped with all the essentials needed to prepare meals during your stay in Mid Wales, including an air fryer, fridge, kettle, microwave, 2-ring gas hob and toaster. You'll also have plates, cutlery, glasses, mugs, cooking utensils, pots and pans, plus a BBQ and cooking utensils outside.



BATHROOMS/TOILETS:

There is 1 en-suite bathroom in the pod, equipped with a shower, WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and hot water.

CLEANING:

Your comfort and hygiene is our priority. Your pod is professionally cleaned between guests with fresh linens and towels provided. Mid-stay cleaning, including change of linen and towels, is available upon request.



Guest Access:

Guests have private use of their assigned glamping pod, ensuite shower room, gated decking area, BBQ facilities and two adjacent parking spaces.



Shared onsite facilities include a washing machine, tumble dryer, additional showers and large sinks in the facilities block below the pods.



Self check-in is provided through a secure key safe next to the pod’s front door. Full directions and the pod-specific access code will be provided before arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Powys River Pods sits in a peaceful riverside setting near Garth, surrounded by the rolling countryside of Mid Wales and just a short drive from Builth Wells. The pods are positioned beside the River Irfon, giving you a quiet base where you can enjoy the countryside, watch for wildlife and explore some of the best outdoor areas in Powys.



Builth Wells is around 11 minutes away by car and is the main local hub for shops, cafés, pubs, takeaways and everyday essentials. The town sits on the River Wye and is well worth exploring, with riverside walks, historic buildings, independent businesses and the Wyeside Arts Centre, which hosts cinema screenings, live performances and community events. The historic Fountain Inn is another local option for hearty food and drinks in a traditional Welsh pub setting.



For walkers and hikers, there is plenty to explore in every direction. The River Wye provides beautiful riverside scenery, while the surrounding hills and countryside offer routes ranging from gentle walks to more challenging mountain adventures. The Epynt, Brecon and the wider Bannau Brycheiniog are all within reach, making the pods a useful base for exploring Mid Wales on foot or by bike.



Anglers are particularly well catered for, with fishing available along the River Irfon close to the pods. The surrounding rivers and waterways also make the wider area popular for fishing and other outdoor activities.



A little further afield, the Elan Valley is around 33 minutes away and offers spectacular reservoirs, mountain scenery, walking routes and some of the clearest dark skies in Wales. Rhayader and its famous red kite feeding centre are also within easy reach. Hay-on-Wye, around 41 minutes away, is ideal for a day exploring bookshops, cafés and the surrounding countryside.



The Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd is another major attraction. The showground hosts events throughout the year, including the Royal Welsh Show and Winter Fair, as well as business, agricultural and other events.



For something different, the area has strong connections to Welsh history and culture. Builth Wells has links to Llywelyn the Last and the medieval history of Mid Wales, while notable people associated with the town include ornithologist and broadcaster Iolo Williams and footballers Kevin Sheedy and Grenville Morris.

Getting Around:

A car is recommended for making the most of this peaceful rural Mid Wales location. Two private parking spaces are available directly beside each pod.

As a professional host, we use a simple guest verification process to protect both guests and the property.



✓ Online check-in

Before arrival, the lead guest completes a secure online check-in, including agreement to Guest T&Cs and submission of valid photo ID.



✓ Security deposit or damage waiver

Choose between a fully refundable £250 security deposit or a £15/night non-refundable damage waiver, capped at £65.



All steps are completed securely online before arrival.



Adults only: The pods are intended for adult guests and do not provide travel cots or highchairs.



Pets: Up to two well-behaved dogs are permitted in designated pet-friendly pods with prior approval. An additional cleaning charge may apply. Please confirm Heron’s policy before booking.



Smoking/vaping: Strictly no smoking or vaping inside the pod.



Naked flames: Candles and other naked flames are prohibited. The timber pods are insulated with sheep’s wool, so extra care must be taken when using the gas hob and BBQ.



Parties: The pods are not suitable for parties, events or loud gatherings.



Quiet hours: Please respect other holiday-park guests and keep noise to a minimum, particularly during early mornings and late evenings.



Key safe: Please leave the key in the key safe when going out to avoid losing it.



BBQ: Use the provided BBQ only in the designated outdoor area. Clean and return it to the boot locker after use.



14+ nights: Additional housekeeping is required for an extra fee every fortnight.
