Set on the rural outskirts of Boncath, this is the ultimate tranquil getaway perfect for couples and families. This secluded countryside spot just 1.5 miles from the sleepy village of Boncath is a playground for keen walkers and cyclists, with plenty of scenic country lanes to explore right from the doorstep. It’s an excellent base for discovering the wild beauty of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the Preseli Hills, both reached within 16.5 miles. Pick up some fabulous local produce from the wonderful selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants in the village of Crymych, 4 miles away, or the bustling market town of Cardigan, 7.5 miles away. The majestic Ffynnone Waterfall and the serene Cenarth Falls can both be reached within 7 miles.
Beneath the traditional stone exterior, you’ll find a haven of homely charm in the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner – very much the heart of this edge of woodland retreat. Flooded with plenty of natural sunlight, this cosy, social space boasts a wonderful spot to unwind, cook and dine at the end of a busy day. As night falls, gather around the electric log burner which creates a lovely atmosphere long into the evening. Choose between two bedrooms upstairs, one containing a king size bed and one with a small (4ft) double, both boasting characterful sloping ceilings with skylights and exposed beams. The shower room can also be found upstairs and features everything you need to freshen up each morning ready for a new day of adventures.
From sunrise to sunset, the enclosed front garden is a haven of tranquillity, perfect for al fresco dining with a lawn ideal for children and those travelling with dogs and in addition access to 4 acres of private woodland. Outside, you’ll also find private parking for two cars.
