"I had been to the Black Lion three years before visiting the area my kin folks left in 1838 to come to Ohio. The accommodations and the meals were great. We went to the Welsh Library in Aberystwyth and hit the mother load of information of our ancestors in Lampter and Betws Bledrws."

"Practical place to stay, on the promenade. Friendly staff, dogs welcome. Clean, good bed and shower. If you go there at the weekend the parking spaces are free on the promenade for 4 hours ( Monday to Saturday, 8am-6pm)."

"From arriving to departure the owner and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We went B&B, plus evening meal, which was well worth it. Big mention to three of the staff Will, Osian “Fish” and Willow who really went out of their way to make sure our 3 night stay was very memorable. "Safe, clean, quiet, and cosy. A quaint walk from the train station. My only issue is that I found the room to be quite cold with no way to adjust the temperature myself. There is no staff on the property, so not an easy fix. "
