Situated at the top of Lithia Park in Ashland and straddling Ashland Creek, this is a great place to cool off on those triple digit summer days, even though the water is fairly frigid. Just beware the reservoir is closed some years at the end of summer due to bacteria build-up. The friendly local guy in the picture was so stoked to dive in that I had to snap a picture then dive in myself. #waterlust #WeekendGetaway

Ashland is probably best known for the Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which I highly recommend checking out if you're in to Shakespeare plays. The statue in the photo is actually a guy in a Shakespearean costume collecting contributions toward a permanent statue of the Bard in Ashland. #WeekendGetaway
