We hope that guests reading this review will take note of all the other 5-star and 4-star reviews we have received. We do apologize for the experience this guest had, however, as noted in the review, when the "concerns" were brought to us, we did correct them. As stated, this includes the guests asking for firewood which we immediately offered and provided at no charge. We removed the one broken chair, fixed it completely (which meant custom creating replacement pieces of wood) and returned it; the other three chairs were completely sanded and polished; and for that reason, no spider webs could have been on them. We also removed all spider webs from both porches, again immediately and upon request. We feel like we did all we could to make the best of the requests and the situation. We will admit our house is an older house. We feel, and most other guests feel, it adds character. We have always made mention of the location of the house and the parking lot, it is one reason many guests like it as they can bring multiple cars or trailers. And "mentions a river in the back" is true, as the Elkhorn Creek flows directly through the back of our property. We even have a table and chairs located near the creek for guest enjoyment. If you are looking for the "look and feel" of a hotel; probably ought to stay at a hotel. But if you want something that is real, taken care of with love by the family that owns it, and is more than clean and comfortable; well, we would love to have you!
