"Joan's house is very spacious, well equipped, and perfectly located within 10 mins walk from the local shops (provisions, crafts and tweed) and the local restaurant, deli, ButtyBus, harbour and lochs. "Gorgeous family home, very well equipped with fantastic views. Northton beach and Ceapabhal hill are literally on your door step, as is Croft 36 a craft bakery who make amazing food. The location is also great for reaching Leverburgh approx 3 miles which has a brewery, restaurant (great food) deli and bottleshop. It’s located beside the Ferry for those who want to explore more of the outer Hebrides. A golf course and lots of other beaches and hill are nearby. Will definitely book to stay here...

"We stayed for 2 weeks, whilst the rest of the country had a heat wave, we had a couple of nice days and the rest was misty and windy. "We loved Macaulay cottage - it’s in a great location for visiting the many wonderful beaches and bays on Harris. The cottage has everything you need and the owners are really helpful. It was a great place to return to after a day out. Some of the well known walks (Scholars path and coffin trail) start from the cottage or nearby. We enjoyed kayaking with seals in the the bay by the cottage. "

Spacious enough for the teenager and the pre-teen to be separated and mum and dad to have some space to chill out! "We enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay in Jayne Cottage and benefitted hugely from the brilliant weather. The property is cosy and welcoming and we really enjoyed the warmth and views from the conservatory. The homemade bread was a lovely touch too. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here. "
