"We haven't been to Galena since 2019 and we were eager to visit a wonderful area of Illinois. We weren't disappointed with our visit starting off with Ginger's wonderful, secluded home. The property was as described and worthy of the 200+ ten-star reviews. Having 3 bedrooms, each with their separate bathrooms was perfect for the 3 couples that comprised our party. "We stayed here with 4 adults and 6 kids. It was a perfect size. The view of the lake is amazing! The covered deck allowed us to enjoy an awesome thunderstorm viewing without getting wet. "The entire group LOVED this home and this home made our celebration for our friend's retirement extra special. The proximity to downtown Galena was closer than we expected. The layout of the home gave everyone enough private space to enjoy a full weekend together. The kitchen was large enough for 7 of us to enjoy a great meal together. The views in the morning and at sundown were spectacular. The evening hot tub ended our stay with special memories. All together the home was 5 star!!!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the log cabin. The accommodations were as advertised. The owners were very responsive to questions. The exterior of the property needed its spring cleanup and then it would have looked like the photos. The screen was torn out of the back entry to the porch. There was hair in the main floor sheets. We really liked sitting on the porch and even got a visit from a fox on our last morning!"
