Cozy timber cabin with views over the landscape

From the house, you can look out over the fields toward the forest, the mountains, and the Österdalälven River. You'll be staying in a log cabin on a Dala farmstead consisting of six buildings made of weathered log. The owners completely renovated the house in 2024 with care and using locally sourced materials, preserving its authentic character while incorporating modern details that provide comfort and an understated hotel-like atmosphere. It's peaceful here and close to nature, yet downtown Leksand is only an eight-minute drive away. As you step inside, the entryway opens up to the living room and dining area, with the fireplace serving as a cosy focal point. The custom-built kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and socialising. The spacious bedroom features a double bed; in a small, private nook, there’s a single bed; and in the living room, there’s a new sofa bed that you can easily screen off with a curtain to create a more secluded sleeping area.



The farm’s 1,800-square-metre garden borders the countryside, and under the covered patio you can enjoy coffee and barbecue whatever the weather. The Storskogen forest begins just around the corner, and the river’s only a five-minute walk away for a swim or some time by the water.



A harmonious tranquillity reigns in the peaceful village of Ullvi. It's an eight-minute drive to downtown Leksand, where you'll find unique shops and restaurants. Around Lake Siljan, nature, culture and crafts await – but it's just as wonderful to simply relax at home, light a fire and recharge as the light shifts across the landscape.
