Lake Erie's charming 4 season Lake Houz with BBQ, Fire Pit & more

Our LakeHouz is 4 Season & accommodates up to 6 people w/ 2 bedrooms including a spacious loft with king bed , electric fireplace, workspace, smart TV, mini fridge & private Ensuite with Jacuzzi Tub & stand up showerā€¦ a perfect little retreat with great lots of windows and gorgeous views Sunrises on the lake. The main floor bedroom has a comfy Queen bed & quality linens, lots of drawer space & walk-in closet.

Our spacious family room includes a wood burning stove for those chilly fall / winter days and evenings, a Queen size Murphy Bed, smart TV , a large family friendly coffee table perfect for the family to sit around for hours playing games or just hanging out. We offer plenty of books, magazine, puzzles and gamesā€¦ something for everyone, including childrenā€™s books & crossword puzzles.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with spice rack, mixing bowls, air fryer, hand mixer, rice cooker & more! The dining table seats 6 + 3 bar stools for gathering around the island with family & friends. We also have a fun high top bar/ table for a cup of morning Joe overlooking beautiful lake views, Watching ducks and fishing boats on the lake, this table also doubles as a workspace fitted w/ a power bar & USB charging.

Our living spaces are all designed with family and friends gathering in mind. Each area is spacious enough for everyone to hang out, including our fun sunny Screened in porch perfectly fitted with a bar fridge for extra drinks, a comfy conversational set, patio table for meals over looking beautiful sunsets, coat & boot rack, and more games & magazines living rooms.

Our outdoor spaces include a propane BBQ, fire pit, outdoor dining for 6, and more.
Our LakeHouz has been coined a birders paradise with the most beautiful views of sunrises & sunsetsā€¦ It doesnā€™t hurt that weā€™re Neighbours with local Birding guide and expert ā€œPelee Birdingā€.

This isnā€™t just a cottage. Itā€™s truly a home away from home and offers all the comforts youā€™d want & more. We hope youā€™ll love it as much as we do and as much our guests have since August 2022 ā€¦ making memories for years to come

We love it here so much we've stayed a few times now. This really is a beautiful piece of paradise with something for everyone to enjoy. Fully appointed with everything you need. Close enough to any shopping or adventures you want to do yet located perfectly away from all the busy life. A real gem.

The perfect getaway

This cottage is perfect for a mini getaway. We enjoyed the welcome gift and the small touches. The indoor outdoor games were fun, the record player added a nice touch. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped to cook our meals in. It helped to have the cooking essentials (oils, spices and seasonings already in the cupboard). The sunsets and sunrises were amazing and the family pass for Point Pelee was a thoughtful touch. The boardwalk and lookout towers were worth the visit. We canā€™t wait to come back!

Amazing stay

I did the best choice in booking in this cottage! Worth to drive for. The couple, cottage owner are very nice, friendly, pleasant. Beautiful lake view. Dog friendly. Everything you're looking for nature feeling is in this cottage. A place to get away from city living. Price is fair enough. Highly recommended. We had a good time, fun, laughters and wonderful experienced. We will definitely come back here again...

Beautiful house on lake, more amenities than you could ask for! Clean and spacious. Beautiful decor. Good place to bring a dog, many tie outs and bag stations in open yard. Climate control became an almost immediate problem for host, temp outside was 67, we used the kitchen oven and host messaged she was monitoring thermostat and stated we couldnā€™t possibly be comfortable at that temp and specifically asked ā€œwhatā€™s going on there?ā€ It became awkward and then we wondered how much else was being monitored. Like the smart washer and dryer? Would we be asked why we did 3 loads of laundry in a day? Jacuzzi tub was disappointingly unusable. The water heater could not produce enough water to fill tub over jets. Eventually we used pots of stove heated water to completely fill. Check out list was extensive. We received multiple messages that continued for a few days after check out from host because a plastic container that housed Keurig pods, that we had never seen went missing? Not the Keurig, but apparently this container fit perfectly in a drawer. Turns out cleaning person had misplaced before our arrival. Beautiful place, but couldnā€™t return due to the way the host made us feel during and after stay.

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful time. It was exactly what we expected. I enjoyed sitting on the deck while reading my magazines and listening to the water. A nice bonus was the great view from the couch too! I could still see the water while relaxing inside when the weather got chilly. There are so many great spots in the house to retreat and have your own space. The only negative was a gift from Mother Nature. There were so many little flies. I am a girl from the suburbs in Texas so this maybe normal around The Great Lakes. We all agreed we would stay here again!!!

End of Summer!

The Lake Houz is a comfy, cozy cottage situated over looking Lake Erie. It has everything you need and then some for your stay. The upper deck gives you the feeling that you are actually on the water. Great location for morning coffee or that afternoon glass of a local wine. Sunrises & sunsets were spectacular! Great communication with the owners. The location to Point Pelee National Park is a short 7 minute drive - great park to explore. Close to Leamington as well which can meet all your needs. Would recommend!

Very Relaxing

Clean and very well equipped property on the lakefront. Close to town but far enough away to be extremely quiet. We enjoyed a lot of local fresh fruit and vegetables. Picking up fresh Pickerel in Wheatley was a bonus. For dog owners, there is a wonderful off leash dog park close by. All in all a great stay.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This rental was perfect for us. We arrived and found it extremely clean and in perfect condition, ready for an amazing cottage weekend. The outdoor spaces are unreal, the view is beautiful (sunrises were amazing) and we spent so much time outdoors. The hosts were so easy to communicate with, personable and kind, and made every effort to ensure we had an amazing time and they made everything very easy for us. We are so grateful! Great place with beautiful views

My wife and I stayed here for a few days in July and loved it. If you are looking for a nice quiet house on the water you canā€™t get much better than here. Itā€™s a short drive from point pelee as well which was nice. The deck overlooking the water was great to relax on and have a fire in the chimnea. Would recommend!
