Feb 26 stay, 56-day booking. Significantly below expectations. All issues documented.Day 1 broken housing on junction box (technician attended). Exposed wiring behind TV, multiple extension cables powering fixed appliances. No smoke detector. Agent said not mandatory in Martinique; challenged, then one installed.Washing machine broken; replaced Day 7 by agent’s husband, this also failed. Advertised sofa is a single bed with another bed propped behind. Click-clack small/unstable. Other seating wooden chairs with stained cushions. Daybed covers and mattress heavily stained. Agent acknowledged poor furniture during visit.Cleanliness: persistent ants in kitchen. Vinegar suggested but ineffective; we bought spray/bait and removed food, restricting use. Mould/rust on colander. We purchased our own cups, glasses, pillowcases, pillows, bed linen and towels.TV 15 years old; microwave similar. We avoided use. Bathroom poorly maintained; shower curtain did not fit, mould visible.Location photos show a different building and imply garden space. Entrance from rear parking area. “Location Type”, “Oceanfront” & “Village” misleading. La Cherry beach 3–5 min drive plus walk. Only distant sea glimpse blocked by buildings/tree. No nearby shops.Wi-Fi poor (7 Mbps). Agent repeatedly tried moving conversations to WhatsApp.Stayed only until reasonably priced flight to leave was available. Complaints to VRBO remain unresolved and silence from VRBO for several weeks continues.
