"Kevin and Laurie have been wonderful hosts. The cottage was spotless, with a lot of new modern touches. Sunsets are amazing, and we were lucky to be there post-season, so not sure how busy the beach gets during the summer. Water was very shallow. Great and safe for families with small children, but if you expecting to jump into the water this is not your location (at no fault to Laurie and Kevin!) This cottage met our goals and gave us the opportunity to unwind and relax!"

"While there were many good points about the property there were also some disappointments. This is a pricy rental but some amenities were lacking such as the outdoor furniture. The old well used metal chairs/ love seat have seen better days. There was only one moveable chair to be able to sit on the dock. Many window screens had holes or were poorly patched. "This place was clean and quiet, so warm and comfy that we sat in the down stairs lounge to drink tea and coffee. I didn’t use the pool area but we looked in and people looked like they enjoyed the area. Has nice fitness area and snacks available to purchase if need be. Different breakfast for the two mornings that we were there for. I would definitely suggest this location and I’d return anytime. "

"A beautiful historic Canadian home with lovely antique furnishings. The hosts and Bella were very welcoming. Our room was so very private with a very comfortable bed fireplace, and an en-suite bathroom. The breakfast served was delicious. We definitely recommend Grey Gables for a beautiful, unique, quiet, convenient and welcoming place to stay! "

"The owner is EXTREMELY responsive, which is a huge positive as apposed to other cottage owners. The property is located steps (probably not more than 5) from the water. Amazing sunrise and sun set. The cottage is equipped with everything as specified in the ad. It is a lot more spacious than photos show. There are groceries near by, cell service and wifi signal is great. I would definitely re-book when it’s hotter outside as the lake was frozen for winter."
