Beautiful-Spotless-Spacious-Equipped
My husband and our 4 married kids and spouses (party of 10) chose the Karshner Place as our Memory Building Christmas Gift! We were all blown away by this beautiful retreat!! The landscaping is beautiful and the cabin is more beautiful than the pictures! It was pristine, welcoming and very comfortable! There are 7 bedrooms and we only needed 5 of them. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more! It had plenty of sitting room for dining and relaxing! We enjoyed the ping-pong table and pool table in the game room and soaked in the extra large hot tub several times!! It has ample parking and is a short drive to all the hiking areas. The owners were great at communicating

Bachelorette get away
We were looking for a relaxing weekend in hocking hills and found it here! Close to the major hiking in the area, while still giving privacy. The house was spotless and we loved the hot tub and space to play games!

Family Togetherness
We were impressed with the cleanliness of the property and the ease of communicating with the owners. The property appears just as it is listed. It was conveniently located near town for needed supplies. We would stay again. It worked great for our big group of 13.

Last Getaway before Graduation
My son and his 4 best friends will be graduating in May so we wanted to do a getaway with them and their families. This place was perfect for us. Everyone had a blast. The boys actually wanted to spend the whole day at the house instead of going out. We did adventure out after check out but what a beautiful home.

Fantastic retreat house
We really enjoyed staying here. The property and house was nicer than the pictures show! All the little things like towel hooks to salt and pepper were well thought out. Will definitely recommend to friends and family in the future. Thanks Norma!

Adult Weekend
The owner was very patient with us. We did arrive 1 hour prior to our early check in. She was awesome and this was our 4 time staying at this cabin for out adult trips. Looking forward to booking next year. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

Love this place
Beautiful curb appeal. Very clean . We had 6 adults and 5 children . There was plenty room for all . The kitchen has everything we needed . Loved the pool table ( little well loved ) and the ping pong was a great success for the kids Coming back in March so we can do some hiking

Perfect for Families!
This was a great place to stay! You can tell by the layout that they value family and have provided a large cabin to make that happen. We were thankful for a place where our big family could enjoy a weekend together and at a price that a large family could also afford. Everyone had a great time!!!! We hope to stay there again! What a blessing!

Great place for gatherings
Our group included 5 adults and 7 kids between the ages of 9 and 15. This location was fantastic for adults being able to gather and play games or chat while the kids had more than enough space to play on the lower level. One of the things that we liked most about this property was that there was a large table upstairs so that we could all sit and eat together. The table seated 12, but we could have added at least five or six more if you include the counter and bar stools right next to the table. Also, if we wanted to we could have set up chairs on the lower level and had two more tables. The extra tables and chairs were conveniently located on the lower level if we wanted to use them. There were plenty of bathrooms, but it was a little disappointing that there was no bathroom located on the third floor. There were lots of helpful signs posted around the house that helped us remember the rules and take good care of the place. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place for a large family/group
Pretty much perfect! Very clean! Good amount of space. Huge hot tub with good jets. Lots of towels though a few more hot tub towels would be nice! We would love to come back with our group!!

Women's weekend retreat
House was clean, well supplied especially the kitchen. Also a decent selection of spices available, coffee and filters. Loved having a Bunn with 2 carafes and burners. Furniture, decor in very good condition. Spacious. Loved the deck and fire pit area. Hot tub was large! Parking was more than adequate. Close to all that Hocking Hills has to offer. We were blessed with awesome weather for the weekend and spent a lot of time outside on the deck. Appreciated having ample toilet paper, linens and towels.

Long weekend get away!
Our family of 14 had a wonderful long-weekend getaway which included hikes to Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Conkle’s Hollow and a great petting farm just down the road! The 6 kids (ages 4 to 10) spend HOURS playing at the treehouse/swing area and loved s’mores at our evening campfire. It’s obvious the owners have a large family, as the kitchen was well stocked and the number of bedrooms (with comfortable beds) as well as pullout sofas easily accommodated our married children, grandchildren, and single adult children. Hot tub was relaxing, too. Love the beautiful, quiet countryside. Kids are already asking to return next year. Thank you, Phil and Norma!!

Family vacation
We had such a wonderful time at the cabin! The cabin was absolutely amazing! We were really impressed with all of the amenities and the comfortable furniture! The game room was a lot of fun especially if it was raining outside! Will definitely stay here again!

Best wedding weekend stay
This stay was absolutely perfect. This place has everything you could ever need. We stayed here for our wedding weekend and this place was very clean, & so comfortable. We felt right at home! Best stay, highly recommend this stay!

Birthday party
We had a large group-22-and the house was big enough to make us all comfortable. All the kitchen necessities were there and the stash of games was great. We used the hot tub and the fire pit and had room for yard games that we brought. The temperature on the third floor was very warm and was the most consistent complaint I got. Overall a great weekend with family.

Nothing short of wonderful!
We had 13 in our group, ranging from 7 to 75. There was more than enough room for all of us! Appreciated all the extras that were provided (toilet paper, towels, dishes and cookware, coffee). The owners have gone above and beyond to make this a special place to stay. Exceptionally clean. Loved the location—we did hikes within a 15-20 min drive and visited Logan and Laurelville. Have already recommended this place to friends and family!

Hocking Hills Family Retreat
Everything was great. The house was awesome! We hiked in the Hocking Hills, canoed the river, visited a winery and a brewery. Played ball with the kids, soaked in the hot tub and made some awesome memories.

Perfect for family reunion
We had a fabulous time enjoying this huge home and the surrounding area as we celebrated my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. We had family that came as far as Korea, Missouri, California and Cleveland. Plenty of space for everyone. Not far from hiking trails or the market for ice. Our hosts were quick to come empty trash when needed and very sweet.

Stayed for a family birthday, there were 14 of us, and there was plenty of space. We enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table, and the fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked also. Great weekend and beautiful home.

Spacious and fun!
Large place worked great for our big group. The outdoor space and the game room were a bit hit with the kids! Everyone enjoyed the large hot tub. Well equipped!

Wonderful!!
We love this property! It meets all our needs for a family Christmas celebration. The property owners are very easy to work with, and communicate quickly. The only con is the open loft bedroom. It is open to the kitchen gathering/game playing area so it’s noisy, not private at all, and very light. The other rooms are private, quiet, and dark. We have stayed here twice, and have already reserved for next Christmas.

Great house
This is our 2nd year at this property. We celebrate Christmas with my siblings and their families. We go from Thursday through and leave Sunday morning. So much fun for all of us to just hang out for a few days! Norma is awesome to deal with!!!

Great for families
Second time staying here and had a terrific time. Location is great for families with small children. Plenty to do on property and a playground nearby. Hosts are responsive and gracious. Highly recommended.
