"My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and, as an added bonus, came with a coffee machine so no terrible instant coffee in the morning. The food took what was already an excellent stay to another level at both breakfast and dinner with amazing food. The two men running things also strike the perfect balance of friendly, attentive and relaxed to make you feel welcome. When I’m next in the area I’ll definitely be staying again."
"If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. The restaurant serves home cooked meals with a great selection of local produce. From this location you are pretty central to either coast and Dartmoor itself. "I had a wonderful nights stay in a king size bed in an extremely quiet farm away from normal life. There was a good view of the splendid fireworks from the Summer ball down in Tavistock that night, then waking up to a lovely cooked breakfast.
The couple were very helpful throughout and I will book again.
Don't expect modern day living just homely comfort and a great view of the countryside on a working farm."
