My family and I only had one night in Las Vegas and wanted it to be unforgettable, so we chose The Venetian. We spent the day getting to know the city, and around midnight we intended to check-in and go back to explore the hotel's attractions. To our surprise and disappointment, the check-in queue took nearly 2 hours. There were few attendants and, to make matters worse, inexplicably, each person served took about 20 minutes to finish check-in. This wait was very frustrating, but the worst came later. When we finally got to the room, it had not been cleaned after the last guests had left. There was rubbish in the bathrooms, wet towels, and the beds were messy. It was very frustrating and put a damper on our night. I took a photo of the messy beds, went back to the reception, and showed it to the receptionist who, without showing any embarrassment, just relocated us to another room, this one, yes, clean. At that point, we no longer had the energy to explore the hotel and enjoy our stay. We just took a good shower and went to sleep. I want to believe that it was just a bad day for such a well-regarded hotel, but the truth is that our experience was 100% disappointing.
