"The room was clean enough but the shower room had streaks down the paint and signs of mildew. There was some discarded cigarettes by our bedroom door that a previous occupant must have left but housekeeping never removed them before or during our stay. Food in the restaurant was decent but the service was slow and we had to ask several times over for jugs of water to be brought to our table, too. "Really lovely quaint hotel! Staff are amazing and go above and beyond!! Thank you to Laura, Paul and the wonderful chef!! "The room was really warm even after adjusting the thermostat. Price of meals and drinks were fair. The staff great."

"Staff were kind and friendly. Food was good in the bar but over priced. My room was grubby, the bedding and bathroom were clean but there was dust and dirt on the ledges and windowsills. No shower gel in the bathroom either. I was also above the kitchen there was lots of banging about outside and a constant humming/droning from what sounded like extractor fans. This did stop around 9pm but then started up again at 10pm. It was really quite loud, I could still hear it when I had my headphones...

Room was very clean but very noisy could here people in next room even their conversation and our room was at the front so constant traffic noise , lots of lorry’s going by. The double bed in our room (4) was very uncomfortable could feel the springs so not much sleep. Breakfast was interesting bought to your room in a basket ! "
