Located 4 km from Lantriac, at an altitude of 850 metres, Rochaubert is below a basalt cliff sheltering old troglodyte dwellings. It is a typical village of Velay, with a mission cross dated 1689 and an assembly house recognizable by its bell whose sound once punctuated the daily life of the country.
The chalet we offer is a new construction in wood and basalt stones designed by an architect. Recently developed to accommodate up to 6 holidaymakers, this luxurious cottage is new, it takes into account all your expectations. For the sake of functionality and modernity and also the objective of preserving the charm of the old stones and the pleasure of evenings by the fire. Thanks to a huge bay window and a large terrace, the view is truly surprising, between sky, mountains, nature, and volcanoes.
The town of Le Puy is nearby, 15 kms away and Mont Mézenc about twenty kms away. This offers you the possibility, in all seasons, of beautiful hikes and the discovery of the surrounding tourist sites: City of Le Puy-en-Velay, Way of St. James, Stevenson Way, Banks of the Loire from its source at Gerbier des Joncs, Numerous Romanesque churches, Massifs of Mézenc (ski resort) and Meygal...

Le Puy-en-Velay is connected to Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon by 4-lane roads (about 1h30 to 2 hours by car)

Rules of procedure of the cottage

Maximum capacity: 6 people
Arrival 5 p.m. / Departure 10 a.m. please let us know in case of delay
Places and the handing over of the keys will be done on arrival and departure.

Use of the premises:

The cottage is rented for exclusively tourist and family use, It is forbidden to organize parties or evenings with outside guests without the agreement of the owner. The number of people must not exceed the indicated capacity.

Respect and Neighbourhood:

The tenant undertakes to respect the calm of the place, especially between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Thank you for respecting the tranquility of the neighborhood (moderate music, no shouting in the outdoor spaces)

Cleanliness and maintenance:
The gîte must be kept clean during the stay. Garbage and waste must be sorted in the appropriate containers (food waste, brown bins. A container is provided for glass and packaging next to the bus shelter)
No smoking

Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the gîte as well as around the swimming pool and in the pool house. Ashtrays are available outside if needed.

Pets not allowed

In the event of an agreement, pet owners are obliged to ensure the cleanliness and tranquility of their pet.

Safety and Accountability

Please always close doors and windows in case of absence, especially the skylight. All gates must remain closed at all times of the day. Beware of animals that could damage the exterior and the swimming pool. The tenant is responsible for any damage caused during the stay. In the event of loss or damage to equipment, fees may be retained. A deposit is provided by Vrbo.

Equipment:

The equipment provided (Wifi, TV, barbecue, swimming pool, etc.) must be used correctly and wisely. In case of malfunction, please notify the owner.

Swimming pool and straw hut
The pool is open from June 1st to September 30th
Use is the responsibility of the tenants. Children must be under constant supervision. It is forbidden to dive, run around the pool or in the straw hut
