Simply Irresistible Cayuga Waterfront Lakehouse Near Colleges

New 2 bedroom home with spectacular lakefront views. Located on a private drive with only a few houses in quite neighborhood. Beautiful sunsets, swimming, fishing and relaxation. Close to the colleges. 10 miles to Cornell and Ithaca College.

The house was built in 2008 and has a gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and a spectacular view of the lake. There are hard wood and masonry floors throughout.

Lovely stay!

Stayed at ā€œSimply Irresistibleā€ for just over a week. It was so relaxing, great views, and easy location to access hiking trails, restaurants and grocery in Ithaca and even cute spots in Lansing (definitely recommend the ice cream at Scoops). House amenities were wonderful ā€” loved how well appointed the kitchen was with great appliances and plenty of pots and pans so that we could make meals at ā€œhome.ā€ And despite all the rain during our time here, we were able to use the fire pit one evening. Our family of three (adult son with husband and myself) would definitely come back for another stay. Thanks Jennifer!

Weekend getaway

The lake shore home is very comfortable with spectacular views of the lake. We enjoyed the firepit outside and bird watching the many species of water fowl. The house is equipped with several extras which made it stress free. We had a wonderful Easter weekend getaway, We visited the difference falls, college and Ithaca.

The home was clean and had many thoughtful touches. The kitchen is well stocked, which made things easier during our stay. The view from the window waking up in the morning is lovely and peaceful. A great place to get away for a few days, which was exactly what we were looking for. Jennifer and Mitch were responsive and kind. Highly recommend!

Great stay for Thanksgiving

We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday and loved the quiet location. Access to walk to Salt Point Natural Area and a short drive to other walking locations. The location is secluded, but very close to Lansing and Ithaca. The owners were very kind and accommodating with our unscheduled flight changes.

Property reached by short gravel road. Steep driveway for parking. Operating instructions for the many efficient heating/cooling wall-mounted units are on the kitchen bar counter. Kitchen well-stocked for cooks AND bakers! Stairs to lakeview master bedroom with jacuzzi tub & full bath with shower.

Perfect little getaway

My husband and I had the best time. The house was gorgeous. The view from the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom was magnificent. Although the weather didnā€™t permit us to use the lake, we loved that it was available to use if needed. Itā€™s super quiet and off the beaten path. The house has some very cool gadgets like a panting AC and gas fireplaces. We would definitely go back.

Dream Stay

Overall 5+ stars! Only one very tiny issue and that was we arrived late in the evening and unfortunately the solar lights didnā€™t come on so we used our cellphone lights to see the digital lock box. That was extremely minor and thatā€™s the most we could possibly have complained about! Everything about the house was awesome, we were so sad to leave. The amenities are top-notch, the house was spotless, the scenery is fantastic, and the ā€œneighborhoodā€ was quiet. Kitchen is amazingly well-equipped, the main bedroom is stellar, the living room is oh so comfortable and the views over the lake (Cayuga) were just perfect. I probably shouldnā€™t gush too much as we plan to return and we donā€™t want it to get too busy! 5+/5 stars

We've stayed here twice and it's the absolute best place in the whole area. I've stayed at a half dozen other properties all over the Finger Lakes region, but this one takes the cake. Gorgeous house, every amenity you could want, and the best sunset view available. A few minutes drive takes you into Ithaca for restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, and the Ithaca Farmers' Market. Can't overstate what a great place this is to stay.

Perfect Cayuga Lake Getaway

Jenniferā€™s Cayuga Lake property was perfect for our anniversary getaway. She was also a great host, providing detailed description of the property & amenities as well as timely communication. The house was very comfortable and well-stocked. We used all the outdoor spaces: the cozy fire pit area, the large deck for dinner, the covered porch for breakfast, the master bedroom balcony for happy hour relaxation and the lake dock for viewing lovely sunsets over Cayuga Lake. We also used the paddle board & kayaks (stored in a locked shed at the lakefront) that are free to use with the rental. The location is great because it is a quiet area outside of a small town but so close to Ithaca with all the cityā€™s amenities. We loved this place in the Finger Lakes!

This house is so warm and cozyā€¦it really feels like ā€œhomeā€! It is as clean as can be, comes equipped with everything you need, and the property manager is so helpful and accommodating. The house was very pretty and clean. Everything you need I.e. garbage bags, plates cups cleaners were available. Comfortable beds. Only negative thing is I wish the grass was cut but this may have been because it was off season But would not be discouraged by this. Definitely would stay here again

Very cozy lake house

Our family had a wonderful time in this lake house. It has everything: breathtaking views, exceptional cleanliness, comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and many local attractions. We visited the Ithaca market, hiked the Cornell waterfalls, and enjoyed the barbeque with the sunsets at the lake.
