"Everything was accurate to the listing. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, the furniture was nice. One thing I'd recommend people looking to come here are aware of, is that the house is not easily accessible by sedans or small cars. The road up the mountain to the house is extremely steep, and two of the smaller sedans we brought had a very rough time up, to the point where we had to have some people get out of the car to make it up. "Very nice stay! We enjoyed the privacy of the cabin with proximity to Lake Lure. The cabin was perfect for our 3 generations: main floor BR for 89-yr old, plus 32-yr old w/ 2 dogs, and 68-yr old middle. Varying needs and all met! One cautionary comment, and the reason for my one 4 star rating (accuracy of listing) - the fenced dog yard is secure and big, but it's very steep (not apparent in the pic), both the yard itself and the access steps. An old or very small dog could struggle. Ours were...

"This is the third time we've stayed at this charming cabin with our dog. The location is great, a walk to Chimney Rock and a short drive to Asheville. The stone steps would not be good for someone unsure of their footing. The cabin is well laid out so it feels roomy and always spotlessly clean. There are two ample screened porches, front and back, so pup has a lot of room to roam around. Definitely recommend."

"We came to the area on a road trip from Ontario, Canada to see The Pretty Place and do some hiking. This is a great location for all of that. Everything is relatively close by. You can sit on the deck in the early morning and early evening and watch the deer that came out everyday. We will definitely consider this place again and would highly recommend to anyone"

"The cabin is cozy and comfortable, perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed the large jacuzzi in the bedroom. The cabin is very close to Hwy 64 which makes getting around easy but in exchange there is quite a bit of traffic noise. The traffic noise is the only thing that made me give the “location and neighborhood” 3 start. Also, the steps really need a handrail. "This property is exactly like the photos. We stayed with 2 families, and had 4 kids under 10. It was perfect! The kitchen was well-stocked, there was plenty of space, and the house was very clean! Downtown Hendersonville is only a short 20 min drive away, and snow tubing was only about a 5 minute drive. Both were fantastic! We will definitely be back!"

"As expected from the chain, beautiful rooms, lobby, etc. Very well located. However, it is not a grade 9 like it was pointed out by the website. I needed one more blanket, it was bedtime, the front desk told me to go down and get. Did not go, and slept without it. The blackout curtain did not work- we only found out when it was sleep time - wanted to sleep more, but it was bright inside the bedroom. For the breakfast, I had to get 4 dirty knives before I found the first clean. Breakfast is as simple as the ones offered by half-price hotels. Nothing better because it was a Hyatt one. Mattresses are too soft. The bedroom and bathroom well renovated and very clean. "
