"I love beautiful old buildings, and this was one of them. The grounds were beautiful. The staff were very polite. The breakfast was very nice. All in all my partner and i had a wonderful time, and will definitely be booking the same place again next year.

"Barton Instow Guest house is a jewel in the crown. A lovely old converted farmhouse nestled in the Instow countryside but only a short walk to the beautiful beach front. The bed was clean and comfortable, towels dressing gowns and toiletries are also provided. Cold milk was available each evening for a morning cuppa in your room before an amazing breakfast choice of delicious food. Packed lunches are available at an additional small cost if you are walking or going to the beach. Caroline and...
"Friendly staff, great location for the museum, theatre, seafront and harbour. There is a bus stop right outside for Barnstaple for shopping. We asked if we could have a ground floor room when we booked and that was what we were given. The bathroom was large and very clean. We had to leave early as our granddaughter was unwell and the night staff were very helpful. We would stay in this hotel again.
Only downside was the decor was a bit tired in our room."
"We had a warm, friendly welcome and staff did all they could to make our stay satisfactory. The food was first rate. Everywhere was very clean as were the bed linen and towels. I can genuinely recommend this venue."
"Stayed before and so know the deal. Paid slightly more for a better room, which was lovely. Clean, spacious and comfortable with great views. Shower only warm which was disappointing.
No bar, no breakfast but not bothered by lack of either.

"I was impressed with the lady who ran the hotel that night. She checked me in, instructed me where to park my car, advised where to get dinner because they didn't provide evening meals, served my drink in the bar, laid my table for my brought in take away dinner and then cleared up and still managed to do some cleaning. She made my evening very easy and pleasant. I couldn't ask for more. "
"Upon arrival, Kevin was friendly and attentive. Rooms were airy and bright, bed was very comfotable, great sleep. Breakfast was well cooked and very tasty with good produce. Plenty of choice. Compliments to the chef!! Would definately stay here again."
