We stayed at the Hammock Hotel in Lancaster and frankly could not believe how the poor shape it was in. We checked out our hotel carefully and chose one that got 31/2 stars. Reviews looked great and we even received an email reminding us of the free breakfast and coffee in the morning.
1. First of all the staff was very courteous and apologized for there not being any breakfast stating that they were still trying to come back from COVID. While I understand that we specifically picked a hotel that advertised a free breakfast so that was really false advertisement and should've been updated.
2. A refrigerator in each room was advertised but there was only a hole where it should be. We inquired because my daughter had medication that she needed and they kindly sent one to our room within a couple of hours. It was old, rusty and barely worked.
3, the bed sunk in the middle
4, the pool had a strange smell, the concrete surrounding it was falling apart and the hot tub was non-existent.
5, an onsite restaurant was advertised but didn't exist
6. The shower was old and difficult to get the shower part on, the lever wouldn't pull up easily and the entire faucet moved around on the wall.
7. I think the worst part was that people were living there and they hung around, the smell of pot was in the hallway and on our last morning someone came banging hard on our door and yelling. A large man said "sorry, my brother is supposed to be working" Website is misleading.
