Great location, poor cleanliness and support. Dirt/crumbs/sand on floor. Bedroom comforters stained brown. Don't know how often this place is actually cleaned or maintained. After a shower in the master night 1, a strong rotten egg odor arose from the laundry room, which has access to, I assume, a basement/crawl space of sorts where a water heater/softener is located and main sewage drains. The smell was overwhelming. Contacted vacasa who said a local team would remedy it by morning and asked if I'd like contacted before they enter. I said yes. Come midday there had been no communication. I reached out again, to which I was told the local team would be taking care of it. The maintenance person texted me, apologizing but saying they "probably couldn't do anything about the odor" but would be happy to come by anyway, though they let the property owner know, who was "being proactive about it". I texted back asking if I should expect the property owner to be coming by. No response. I called with no answer. I was never contacted about this issue again. I don't know if it was resolved or not. We did not bathe the remaining 2 days of our stay for fear of the stench. I reached back out to vacasa support about not knowing whether or not anyone had been or planned to come by and they said they didn't know either. Overall, the location is premier. Lovely neighborhood with a quick trip to the private beach. Cleanliness and communication left more to be desired.
