Family Friendly Grand Getaway in the middle of Historic Lake Placid!

Location, Location, Location! Our second Getaway in Lake Placid is in the heart of the Hillcrest area of Lake Placid. We are a luxury rental with full amenities and details designed for our Getaway to feel like your home away from home. Fully furnished and outfitted with everything you need to enjoy and create experiences while visiting. Cookies and hot cocoa included along with all linens, towels, soaps, cooking utensils, oil, spices, etc.. We are also a full retreat with customized experiences by John as your Getaway Concierge while staying. Johnā€™s advice and service help to make your stay memorable.
We are a fully licensed Short Term Rental Home by the town of North Elba (license number 200406)
PLEASE no parties/loud gathering such as Bachelor/Bachelorette parties, team parties, etc. We are in the heart of Lake Placid where many families live, work and play. We must respect our neighbor's peaceful living.

Awesome home in Lake Placid

This house is well located, easy to access downtown. The host is awesome, called me as soon as I booked. He provided lots of details on restaurants, hikes, things to do. Was super helpful during my stay. I would highly recommend this property. Probably one of the best hosts I've ever had for a VRBO rental.

Amazing house, great location, and incredible communication with the owner. Perfect environment for kids and adults. The house had EVERYTHING we needed (great kitchen, rooms, living room, game room, laundry, and close to resturants, etc). We thought it was awesome and the owner was the best! Fabulous stay

Beautifully furnished and wonderfully equipped home away from home. Incredibly clean with very comfortable beds and very helpful and communicative owner. Would definitely look to book again in the future. Great location as well. No negatives whatsoever. A privilege to stay in.

Best Lake Placid VRBO

We decided to go away for Christmas this year and stayed at this lovely home! I was hesitant to be away for Christmas day, but found Johnā€™s home to be the perfect ā€œhome away from homeā€ for our family! Great location, immaculate unit, and it had everything from a stocked kitchen to cozy bedrooms to make our stay perfect! My family will always remember this as one of our favorite Christmas experiences. We had fun iceskating, cross country skiing and downhill at Whiteface. We canā€™t wait to return!!!

Beautiful House - Good Location

We had an excellent experience at this house! The house was well-maintained, providing a clean and comfortable place throughout our stay. The location was perfect with just a short distance (about 5 min) from town, making it easy to explore local restaurants and shops. The communication with the host was smooth and prompt. Perfect peaceful and active getaway

The property is just as advertised - spacious , clean , perfectly decorated with the mountain vibe , everything you ever needed available. Communication with the owner wonderful . We canā€™t to visit again - this location is peaceful and very close to all of the fun activities! my husband & i stayed in this wonderful property for 1 month. john was an amazing host, even researched a vegan restaurant for us! the home was exactly as pictured, fabulously quiet neighborhood, walking distance to Main St. easy drive to all the tourist attractions. front porch was heavenly! house had absolutely everything that we needed for the entire month!!

Eclipse viewing

We stayed four nights during the recent eclipse. The house was perfect for this. Lake Placid was very crowded, We could walk downtown with needing a car, or stay at the house away from the crowds. The home is very inviting day and night, with comfortable beds and nice kitchen. The living room allowed for comfortable conversation, or collective TV viewing. There was a recreation room downstairs that would have been great for kids, but we never used it. Very nice place.

Perfect Vacation Home

My friends and I frequent Lake Placid several times a year and this is the first rental that truly felt like a home away from home. It is exactly like the photos; warm, bright and inviting. John is communicable, knowledgeable about the area and was very accommodating. All around, our stay was wonderful. This is going to be our 1st pick for future stays in LP.

Clean and relaxing stay

This vacation home had all the comforts of home. The host was very generous in keeping supplies stocked for guests to use upon arrival. I also have to compliment the cleaning crew, John has found a very thorough crew! I felt more comfortable in this home than I have during previous VRBO stays. We enjoyed all of the local restaurants within walking distance, but the kitchen is fully stocked with any pot, pan, or utensil you could need. The house was perfect for our group of 6 with room for more.

Family ski trip

Had a wonderful stay with my family, the house was beautiful, spacious and very clean. Great location, walking distance to Main St in Lake Placid and many shops, restaurants and Olympic Village. It's a short drive to Whiteface Mountain or you can easily take the shuttle that picks up at Crowne Plaza 2 blocks from the house. Garage was very convenient for storing ski and snow gear throughout our stay. My nephews loved the play room and bunk room. Many board games and puzzles to enjoy a cozy night in after skiing at Whiteface. The house had everything we needed. John was so friendly, always available if we had any questions about the house and very knowledgeable about things to do in the surrounding area. We hope to return next year!

Perfect house and location!

We visit Lake Placid every winter and were so happy to see that John and Heatherā€™s home was available on our dates this year as we stayed there 2 years ago and just loved it! The house is exactly as described and is in a perfect location; easy walk into town for shopping and restaurants. The house has everything you need and the kids loved the tv/playroom on the ground floor. Itā€™s clean, and the beds are super comfy. John is super responsive and kept checking in to make sure we were good and answered all our questions right away. We will definitely be back!!!

Came here for Christmas week with a toddler and grandparents/family. All was as described and the house was very well stocked. Lots of great lighting, nicely decorated. Very close walk to Main Street that involves a hill but we enjoyed it! John was frequently communicating with us. Had a nice stay.

Beautiful Clean Home, Fantastic Location, Helpful Hosts

This is hands down the cleanest and most well-appointed rental we've ever enjoyed visiting! What a pleasure. The lovely furniture, quality beds/linens, user friendly kitchen, up to-date fixtures and extras like games/puzzles, movies, foosball/darts/wii/etc. made for a pleasant getaway for our family of 6. Although the weather was chilly and rainy for our weekend visit to Lake Placid, we could retreat to this cozy haven and sit by the fire, enjoy a good meal and relish in the change of pace. Our children loved the house too, especially the basement rec room area. We were in town for our sons' speed cubing competition at a local resort, so we were in and out frequently for various events associated with that. This location provided easy walking to coffee shops, retail, restaurants, Olympic sights, Mirror Lake - all the THINGS! Thank you John/host for your clear communication and responsiveness. We will be back!

Great Weekend Getaway

Love the Adirondacks and had not yet been to Lake Placid in the Fall. John was super responsive when we booked his home for the weekend. He made sure the house was clean inside and out as the leaves were falling! He also left a gift in the fridge as we were there to race the Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon. He was super thoughtful and responsive the entire weekend when we had a few questions about the house.

The house is beautiful, comfortable, and just as advertised. The owners have current "things to do" magazines, as well as their own wonderful recommendations. Easy to store our bikes and gear. Great interactions with the owner. Wonderful from start to finish. A true five star experience!
